I finally found stinging. Nettle today. Ive lived in the woods all my life but was never taught this. Within the past 2 days I have discovered, purple dead nettle, wild violate, dandelion, wild garlic and broad leaf dock. I knew some of these but never realized the importance. I guess my 2nd year gardening has sparked my interest. Thanks for the inspiration and education 🙏
I make tea . and I make nettle vinegar rince for my hair it give your hair a lovely shine all I do is I put the nettle in water add a few teaspoon of sugar add a breathable cover for the top leave for two weeks strain the leaves ,then you have nettle vinegar.
Thinking about writing a basic one aimed at families really clear pictures couple of interesting plants for each month. Recipes kids are likely to like. Bit of history and Folklore for each one 😁
Also not sure if you know or not we have a Facebook page it's in the description if your on Facebook give us a like we post pictures on there and between RU-vid and Facebook we're able to be more connected with everyone 😁
Thank you very much for the info about this magnificent plant. I have been trying to grow some stinging nettles from seeds these days. They popped out yesterday in the plastic cup, and I have been babying them! :-)))) I hope I can grow them, then harvest and share with my neighbours, and even collect some seeds. And eventually share this info with as many people as possible. Regards from Canada . . . .
Was camping at a boys camp for two weeks and ran into these plants which left me with what looked like giant blisters. Painless but looked like something out of sci fi movie. Me and maybe 20 other kids were affected. At first everyone thought we had some disease. It was actually very funny afterwards.
I get stung a fair bit doing my gardening jobs. I’ve always wondered about the benefits. It stops hurting after a few stings and I feel very.. invigorated. 😊
There u are I thought I lost your videos forever I jus love your teaching.. you have such a great heavenly peace about u.... You personally is so amazing.. please can u do a video on ironweed and herbs for building bone cartilage. Bone collagen anything bone related .. missed u I'm suscribed again...
Two and a half minutes in and I’ve already learned more than I ever knew about nettles and I have seen quite a few videos about them. I’m late to the party but I’m going to binge watch you now. Thanks very much for sharing this knowledge! Subscribed of course!😊
Haven't been able to find any stinging nettle growing near us. I have been thinking about possibly just growing some. Now I definitely want to! I love the way you explained everything. Great video.
😃 4:10 when he starts talking about harvesting the nettle is when this guy first has gloves on you DO NEED GLoVES on really when having anything to do with this plant that grows all over - I use yellow washing up gloves and dig the plant up by it's roots, all connected to the main roots underground and wash it to get the muck that won't shake off, off the roots also wash the leaves and stems to ruin the stingers and it is ready to eat straight away, or dry itto eat later - tomorrow, next week, whenever! it has strong medicinal properties, and if you eat it with fresh or dried dandelions (Taraxacum), they are dynamite and are curing my asthma
I discovered stinging nettle, which I had not known, had found its way among the raspberry patch when I saw an unrecognizable tall weed and I grabbed it to pull it out. OH MY GOSH!!!! My hand felt like I was just stung by a hundred bees. My hand hurt and burned for next 12 hrs. Naturally I knew immediately what it was and this is 2nd year I've let it grow. This is 1st time to do something with it. Anyone have a suggestion to make it into the most effective solution?!!! Thanks
Now this is my favourite plant the uses are endless. I tend to use the leaves for tea and eating and the stem for fibres to make cordage. Can also cut them from the bottom and they grow back 😊
I’m loving your content and can’t wait to get the books! I’ve got some beetle seeds but I’m wondering what to do with the leaves that have come along with them! Are they still okay to make bread, or tea with or something? Or have I missed the window? Thanks!
Love love this beautiful gift. Food and medicine love. My dogs even love infused with water then I’ll add a little to their water throughout the week during the winter months especially.
very good !! i was smiling the whole time. :) At the end i was waiting for you to roll off that log or seeing it break and right in to the patch! haha! Do a video on dock now man, the nettle sting equalizer. It’s also a trophorestoritive.
I can recommend nettle as a hay fever remedy. Start eating them as soon as the shoots appear in Spring, maybe once or twice per week. They’re delicious in soup, quiche, pesto...
hello from south coast western australia; pissing down outside but I collected some nettles for my secret nettle business, personal nettle magic, my nice green nettle water that i drink and wash with,, my private nettle blessings. Onya, have a good one.
That's interesting. I saw the dandelion video and knew they were edible but never the stinging nettle. I still think I'm a little chicken to eat one though.. Thanks. 😁👋💖
I got stung by it often in childhood. When we were kids and being mischievious our mums used to threaten with it to come home early. I live in himalayas and here it can cause fever and stung by it you will have boils on skin.
It's not sure whether histamine is one of the ingredients of the sting. It's estimated that mainly oxalic acid and tartaric acid are responsible for the sting
So, the whole way through that you were letting yourself be stung, or is there a trick? :D I do hear what you were saying about stings being good to reduce your system's allegic responses to allergens, but th one time I wasstung by nettle it was painful.. a lot!! :) Thank you for a great video.. :)

@raysraolsvideos- Covid19 is a real thing. Do you want to try and convince the families and friends of those now deceased from Covid? Start with me! If you are a USA citizen my guess is you are a MAGAt.... Pronounced maggot....for which each member is.
