You folks make me homesick. I resided immediately behind where your hotel is, on Rose Street in Fort Cochin till 1995. Fort Cochin did not develop as it does now, and these hotels in Fort Cochin were home to descendants of the Portuguese (anglo indians) who lived a very simple lifestyle. I guess some did not even have the resources to maintain their homes. My school (The Delta Study), which is only a few minutes' walk from your accommodation, also has a history building. During colonial authority, it was used as a warehouse. This is simply incredible.... Have fun, guys.

There is resort named Kumarkom Lake Resort near Kochi Kerala. Its having a special suit with attached swimming pool that directly connected to backwater ocean / lake from where sun set can be observed. Not to mentioned its almost private even though in open by its nature. Its erstwhile Prince and now King Charles favorite suit in Kerala I assume. But I found out whenever some British couple lives there, seldom they get upgraded to that suit without extra fees. If you people would have booked that hotel you people may have got that suit too.

To refer to anything of or related to Kerala, would be "Keralite" and not "Keralan". And as it follows it would be Keralite rice and Keralite drinks and so on and so forth.
Kerala is known for being a haven for non-vegetarians, and only one of the few states that offers beef in India. People of Kerala loves beef. You should try ordering more non-veg dishes than veg when in Kerala.
Explore some more Kerala food. You've been a bit minimalistic with food I feel. A traditional meal on banana leaf is a must. There are many restaurants which will serve it.

You must look at the GDP per capita income rather than gross GDP. How much a common man is earning in India compared to other countries. You will find your country in the bottom below than Bangladesh. Of the 4 trillion majority in the hands of the rich. So there is no major benefit to the common man. So pls look at GDP per capita.
