In my country exists legend about witches sabbath from Bald Mountain( in polish Łysa Góra) and that battle with Witch King Malekith is colorized version of situation when somone make witches angry.
Hello! This is my doomstack, I am glad you liked it! I actually had a lot of issues trying to find any big armies to fight with this stack. Auto-resolve based on 0 leadership heavily favours the stack so all the AI would run away, including Malekith with the Sword of Khaine. I played the campaign a bit further and tried to fight an end game stack with it, but the AI refused to fight me with even with all four armies that spawned. It's honestly pretty fool-proof as you demonstrated, just select all and send them in. I barely used any spells in my testing as well! Another bonus for the army is that every hag has a Two-use AoE Ward Save buff, which will help mitigate any damage your hags might take! Thanks for featuring it!
This guy has clearly spent a lot of time around old women in real life to come up with a doomstank like this one. If you see them walk into the restaurant you are at, flee.
My advice - go to Cathay. i tested my Chaos Dwarf doomstacks there, Cathay usually deal with their problems fast and then sit at borders with 3-4-5 good armies.
Seems like WH3's mechanics are showing their age and the limits of how the devs can be creative with them. To make a character or unit powerful, give them a) AP b) mortis engine damage aura c) self-healing or d) stackable -leadership traits. And this DLC has them all and not much else.
i don't think it's the engine but rather the publisher strategy, with each dlc they release the tend to make broken/op factions, characters, and mechanics so they can sell them, MP people will complain about it later, and then they will nerf them in future patches..it's CA mindset that's making this game mundane not the engine necessarily
The image of a massive druchii warhost lead by Maliketh himself fleeing before the onslaught of 20 really smelly old women is hilarious. They'll charge down the hordes of chaos on their northern border and crash onto the shores of Ulthuan with reckless abandon but the Senior Parade is too much
I just got the sudden image of when you would fight a pure Demon based army with that. The stanky old woman rushing the Demon host on their mobility scooters, angrily waving their canes and the Demons just... bursting up in flames and desintegrating under the shower of curses and hackling that would make even a sailor sqeemish! :D
A hero doomstack that costs less than 5k upkeep, you can get fairly easily, and whose capacity boosting buildings help pay for it anyway? And you can min-max traits to take it from crazy strong to completely broken? And you could use blessings or curses if you ever somehow found a real threat? RIght then...
If you don't do with misshapen trait spam, you can just go with lore of the beasts witch and get a summon of Things in the wood thus getting a fullstack of decent units out of this air
Hey Legend maybe next time if the video is going to be on the shorter side you could humor both sides of the crowd and do a quick battle like you did with limited to no magic, and then do it again with all the magic just to give it an interesting comparison. I would love to see that personally.
I had a Grandma that had to use a motor scooter and this reminds me of her. You moved or you got ran over lol. 😂 she could drift in it was crazy. Lol 😆
I want to design units for CA. I will give one unit a cool ability. Second unit gets a different cool ability. Third unit gets another ability. DLC hero gets all the above abilities.. These wouldn't be so OP if they were lords, not tier 3 heroes. Oh well, I don't expect anything sensible in DLC anymore.
hey legend you should do a "try to lose" campaign with changeling where you just go max discoverability in every settelement, but still try to do the objectives
Well there were almost no kills everyone just ran away, so it kinda makes sense, other than of course the fact that in TWW3 the whole stack is destroyed if they can't run away. But I don't think the battle result screen takes that into account.
I have to wonder if this is better than a Stink Priest (Pompous Skink Priest) stack? Misshapen is -5 vs Pompous' -4. Hags are available sooner and cheaper than Priests I think? (Tier 3 vs Tier 4 for Priest). Much better melee from the Hags (dat contact damage O_O). Really the only advantages Priests have are the solar beam from their Engine of the Gods mount (do you really need it tho?), and arguably better healing with a Skink Oracle or two (costs magic).
Hmm lets see, i can spend 6 turns training a child from birth in one of two of the worst lores of magic, or I can put a batty old hag on a mobility scooter and have her roll over all our enemies... which to choose...
All this power with spells, ranged armies, debuffs and single entity stacks etc. would be great if only the game was challenging enough to need anything other than t1 infantry and archers.
Hey Legend maybe do a video where you cant put this doomstack against a doomstack of 19 nurgle foul stink Gorebulls led by a foul stink Doombull. And then put the winner against a doomstack of 20 pompous lizardmen characters on Stegadons. I think it would make for blast video! If anybody knows, who would win out of these 3 doomstacks?
My money is on the stegadons. The leadership for all of them would be abysmal, and taking a bunch of damage at range from the stegadon's ballista would probably cause the enemy to break.
Mobility, pretty good ranged attack, spells, and can cause a lot of trouble in melee easily. Yeah...they are the Swiss Army Knife of Heroes, if they had a version that could get lore of life or something, you'd have zero reason to use ANY other hero but them. Once again reminding people that in fantasy world...old people are SCARY.
Got to say, despite them being what I would say I is a slightly incomplete faction, Ostankya and her new stuff is pretty fun and powerful. Love the curses and blessing, even if they're kinda like Groms mechanic. Probably gonna get the hag lord modded in the make it complete.
playing as the cult of pleasure or naggrond, you have to B-line to mother ostankya or she will completely derail your campaign, especially on legendary
Huh. At least for Unbreakable units it seems they would handle Slayers pretty easily. Would it work against a Terracotta Sentinel stack possibly including the RoR?
It should do, they can take out the RoR beyond the range of its debuff then kite the rest of the army until they die. A life wizard would make it harder to accomplish, ammo regen would make it easier.
Been a minute since I've played, but if the character has more than one skill point in the spell, it should be as simple as clicking the icon twice. I seem to remember there even being a little pair of arrows that will glow blue under the icon in battle that show which level is being cast.
