How to use fabric scraps to make a little stitched square with a flower. You can use these in larger stitched pieces or as part of your journaling and you can certainly make them on a larger scale.
How to do stem stitch 0:52
Save all your small pieces of scrap fabric to use in little squares like these. Once I have enough squares, I’ll make a fabric book.

What fabric are you using?

The background is from a kitchen towel or napkin and the little purple bits are a scrap piece of cotton. You can use anything you have in your stash.

I love this and have been trying to execute it with no luck. The problem is with the tiny pieces of lavender fabric for the leaves/flowers. They either come completely unraveled or do not even show up. What kind of fabric did you use? I've tried linen and quilting cotton. Did you use a knit fabric by any chance?
@cookingjennfer
@cookingjennfer 16 дней назад
Thanks! It’s just a cotton fabric. The weave is pretty tight. Maybe you could use some type of stabilizer on the back before cutting. The loose weave fabrics are harder to work with on a small scale.

@@cookingjennferThat's a real good idea. I also found another fabric I had forgotten about and it looks like it might work. Thank you❤

Lovely little tree! 💜 How do your beads lay so nice? Mine flop n lay sideways. 🙄
@cookingjennfer
@cookingjennfer 5 месяцев назад
Thanks! Depending on the bead, you can try going in with a second stitch. Sometimes that helps.
