I'm really enjoying this sewing group. Before COVID lockdowns I attended a local sewing group which then went on hold for 3 years. I got out of the habit of going but these videos have made me realise how I miss the group. I'm also quite diffident about crossing the divide into someone's stall at an antique or art show but don't feel any of that at charity shops or car boot sales. I love rooting around at the latter two as they are so informal and random and arts and crafts artists often sell there. Perhaps they get more trade. Anyway, can't wait to start slow stitching. Thank you.
That must be a universal issue about art shows. I always hover outside the artists' booths too because I don't want them to have expectations. We have some outstanding art shows here, and I'm rarely buying. Now a lot of artists have gotten savvy about it and put their racks of cards right at the entrance. Those I often buy.
Yes, I'm sure it is... I wish I would have "thought" it out before now! LOL I tend not to buy at the shows unless I come across a young artist. I will buy then to encourage them to continue on. Otherwise, I have too much already! 💛
Your ecoprints are so stunning so beautiful. Thank you for sharing this stitch it is really beautiful and so many possibilities. Love your stitch and stories. Thank you 😊
I just love all your examples of how you can use this lovely stitch; my first craft, taught to me when I was little by my Grand-mere, was embroidery; I am coming back to it after many years of just quilting and paper crafting...So, this series is wonderful for me;) Thank you so much hugs, Julierose🥰
LOL Jeri! I was laughing to myself when you talking about "soft sell" vs "hard sell"! I use to do art shows and antiques shows in MI. I am definitely not a "pushy" hard sell type and I know that it annoyed certain people. When attending shows I like to just browse and when I make my decisions...but I've been guilted into purchasing things because of those hard folks out there. I love to talk to people..but that doesn't mean I'll purchase everything in your booth. Maybe we were Sisters in another life!?!? x's lj
You must show us your ideas like this one, I love it and love hearing you talk while I sew along, it gives me a bit of a visual as i can not imagine things. This stitch is lovely 😍❤ Ann 🏴 Uk
I think we can all relate to the high-pressure salesperson. I buy things at booths that I like, especially when I see people working on the item. Otherwise, I see something like and I think, I can do that but later on quickly realize how much work goes into it, and never make it. I love your eco prints.
My brain is kicking in now. This is the first time I've seen you.I subscribed.I love your program that little round flower. You made would make it awesome if done in green and add some red french nuts to it a christmas W r e a t h
A very lovely stitch! I loved that you showed pics of the show, & I was totally blown away by your eco prints!!! They are fabulously beautiful indeed. I preferred the black mats. Do you do any eco printed fabric or is that not something that can be done?
I do fabric as well and use it quite often in my stitching projects. The rice bag I made and the video will air on Friday uses eco printed cloth. And thank you for your lovely works on my prints! 💜💜💜
Beautiful and excellent tutorial. Will there be a playlist for these? Today Quote: "Tenderness and kindness are not signs of weakness and despair, but manifestations of strength and resolution". Huge hugs. Namesta 🐞🐞🐞 I'll have to try it at a later time. Our fur-baby is really sick.
