at 11:51 I think the term for that kind of intentional delay for musical intent would be an articulation. The big difference in how different piano players play the same piece is usually in how they articulate the individual notes to accent particular parts of the piece, not in raw technical ability. River decided that letting the silence ring for just a microsecond longer than he needed to was a better decision for the artistic qualities of the piece. Seriously great sense of rhythm from momimaru to detect that as a rhythm slip, though. I wouldn't have been confident enough to make the gesture live even if I heard that.

River is too good his stage presence, technique, timing, momimaru was good but his style gets repetitive in my opinion. Love the reactions stitch

For me Momimaru was more enjoyable to listen to, River is great and complex but it doesnt sound good to me

We are missing some agressivness. BRO that's exatly what I felt even durng GBB21. There are so few of them. And that is also reason why I love when somone do that. So there is no wonder why I love Napom or D-low. They are countering everyone. It show that you can adapt quicklyy that you can imrovise, that you prepared for your oponent. Think about it, why people say that Napom or D-low are the GOATs? Becauose of it. In my opinion, and my opinion only, the craziest battle was D-low vs Zekka. D-low started the way, where it was so D-low style that you would have some troubles to copy that. He also did it, because he was going first. Zekka chose another, and better, way so he did his own style. And really insane round it is. But then D-low did the most insane round ever. He battled Zekka with the WHOLE round. It was round dedicated SPECIFICALY for him. The signature melody was present throughout the whole round. Insane teeth click-clop combo, WHILE keeping the melody, than the heavy drop with all the D-low sounds and ending with technical pattern that noone heard before. It is exeptional round. Zekka then was in position, where he HAD to somehow match that. But the end was so insane AND it was the highlight, so D-low was practicaly saying: “Come on! Try it“. But it was impossible. Yeah, so I really hope to see more battling. You know, it is essance of BATTLE. The day when D-low would enter battles once again would be crazy. (Try to imagine Napom- vs D-low novadays)

This really was a close battle with both being great but definitely still think River took it home overall! Yo Stitch did you decide not to do River's solo round???
