You had me laugh out loud, when the light bulb came on about stitching a very small clock face for the dollar clock you bought at estate sale. 56 count!!! Summer is the name of my niece. I love everything with Summer written on it that I buy for her. The real kicker is her name is Summer Sweet. Just love my summer.

Stuff is just that,…stuff. When I moved to Michigan from Pennsylvania I let go. I arrived in Michigan with 50 percent of my clothes, a table, pots and pans ,sewing machine and important papers. I sold my house, sold my washer and dryer and sofa, donated everything else. All good stuff, it was just time to start over and I haven’t regretted it one bit. Have a great week Anna!

Lots of food for thought in your discussion regarding downsizing. I sold my larger home and downsized into a much smaller place late last summer and I am just considering this my first downsize as I may end up going into an even smaller space later on, but it was a good step in the right direction for me. All of my craft supplies and cross stitch stash made it to my new place safely and that's important to me right now. I had to let go of owning so many beautiful things and just be satisfied with the memories of it all. I don't think that I'm fully acclamated yet but I will get there as I know that transitions take time. Thank you for another wonderful video, Anna.

We have had a mild summer so far. I love it. I am getting a lot of outside time with my doggies.

You are so on point about the things we enjoy and while it may not be our kids “thing” it’s ok, because we enjoyed them. I am so excited today because a dear high school friend and one of my bridesmaids (52 years ago) who lives near Portland is coming back to visit her family here in Central Illinois and we are meeting up for coffee today. So you see I have 2 friends in Oregon and you are my other friend. ❤ Wishing you a very beautiful summer.

I don’t know if you noticed the charts for clock faces on the right wall as you entered The Attic…A time for this, a time for that… A variety of different time sayings. That unusual clock shape was quite a find and will be fun to work with. So good to meet you at Bristol 3. What a great time! Hello Anna! I totally agree with you that even though we have never met I consider you my friend. It's funny when I am talking to a friend about floss tubers, I always say "I have a friend that lives in Oregon...." as if we really know each other. I also consider you my therapist because you bring such calm over me when I watch you. Mr. G did a fabulous job on your scissor holder. Summer is flying by so fast! Thank you, Anna, for all your inspiration.

How special your scissor holder is! You are lucky to have someone who can make something so meaningful for you. I’m not ready to give up all my special Knick-knacks and family treasures yet, not that they are really valuable but just to me, but maybe I’ll get there at some point. If not, my kids will just have to deal with it😂. I have the packet from FQS and I think I’ll be making a different beach design with that neat fabric. I live on a beach, but we don’t have palm trees, so I may try something else.

My kids will have a field day with my stuff! I can see it they’ll load up a truck with yarn, cross stitch and fabric and off to Goodwill😂😂. We had to move into little rental house after I quit work because I became disabled and it took yrs for my disability. Then my husband got sick. I got rid a lot of stuff when we moved and I still have more I’m going through. Get rid of some and get some more😂😂. I hope you have a great summer!

Currently, I am doing a really quick and simple one for a friend who is crazy for sharks. Getting this done before Shark Week. It is a stitch to hang or prop on her desk, says: You're doing a great job!" and the bottom says "Emotional Support Shark". I think it will cheer her up a little! Thank you, Anna!

We moved to a smaller house 16 years ago, and have accumulated too much stuff. I don't know why we keep buying things, but love going to thrift, antique stores and the sales. I know our kids will not care about anything we have here, so now we're trying to figure out how to get rid of it. I came back to cross stitch in 2020, and am amazed at how much cross stitch stuff I have. I don't have space in my craft room anymore, and there is no room to move anything downstairs. What to do, what to do.... My biggest fear is that hubs will go first, and I'll be left with it all. Yikes! So I understand all you said, and these decisions are hard.

I live in Oslo, Norway, my dad was Norwegian and mother was swedish. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for introducing me to Flosstube. I stumbled across your episode from the Sisters show last summer; and what a rabbit hole that was! Spent the rest of summer vacation exploring! During this last year I have found several other channels as well. I‘m still happily digging my way throuh these channels. I used to do cross stitch years ago, but quilting and knitting has been my main interests the last decades. Your floss tube made me fall in love with cross stitch all over again and I so grateful! My dad was a wood artist. I love all I have he made. And constantly see things if dad was still here he could make that. This summer will be 9 years he has been gone miss him all the time.

Summer is the best season of the year! Two years ago, I moved in the summer. I’m in my late seventies and I moved from a condo to an Independent Senior Living apartment. While getting ready to start packing and downsizing for the move, I broke my pelvic bone. Couldn’t do a thing so others had to pack for me. My niece helped me downsize and I am so thankful for her. She too loves Summer!!!

Well, my husband walked into the room while you were talking about the bathroom mirror. He said he loves looking at himself naked. LOL 😝 Your stitching cases are both beautiful. Mine is also changing. I actually put the inside piece on with magnets so I can change it out. I love the piece you glued on the smaller case top. Did you use the yes glue? My case is a real leather vintage jewelry box so I don’t want to ruin the top with glue. You could cover the mirror with metal that is magnetic. It would be a good display for your needleminders.

Love ya!! So it looks like your magnifier does not have a cover AND it looks like you are in front of a window. I've seen several videos where the sun hit the magnifier and started a fire -- for my piece of mind, please cover your new lamp in between uses. It's another excuse to make something new :)

We're needing summer rain just now. I've been stitching a large 40ct piece with more frogging than I've ever done! What a precious gift made by G for you. A friend made me some Tiger wood lace bobbins once. It's a lovely wood. Cocobolo is another favourite. Treen objects are so tactile aren't they?

I just turned 70. I had to move in with my son several years ago. After losing my mother I went into a deep depression. I couldn't sew or anything. My grown kids put all of my sewing things into storage hoping I could sew again. But after so many years I know I will never have my own home. My son has his home the way he likes. I will never need all of my things in storage. Knick knacks, dish ware, decorations, etc. And I have come to the realization anything I have they will have to get rid of. I have started sewing, 4 years ago my 24 year old grandson was in hospice. Just before he passed away he asked me to make quilts for hospice. He was such a special young man.

I'm headed back up to Washington from Texas later this summer to go through my mom's stuff. She has moved into a home care situation and has to sell her home. There is lots and she is not one to hang onto everything like I am. It will be hard to figure out what to do with it. The pictures are the hardest. And the fabric will be hard because I think I have an issue with collecting fabric. OH well.

I miss summer time magic I miss summer time magic when we were childhood

Gosh the time with you is so fun! I have just recently tried 46-ct but not 56-ct. Maybe the organizing bug has hit both of us recently, I know I have felt much better after settling things in my craft room this last week. Summer is my FAVORITE time of the year. My birthday is in August; the only problem with that was that I would get school clothes for presents. The zebra wood is so beautiful. My dad was a timber faller for 40 Years so my love of wood goes beyond the ordinary I guess. See you next time!

I heard you mention about give away items. I won The Candy Corn pattern several weeks ago and sent you an email via your email address. I never heard from you nor did I receive the pattern. I"ve noticed this with several other floss tube wins. I never received the chart I won on their floss tube either. I was beginning to think something was wrong with my email. Then I won from a Maine stitcher and received a lovely message back from her. I'm wondering if I got the email addresses correct or maybe my emails just weren't seen? Makes me wonder. Anyway on another note.....I'd like to be considered for the Summer give away. Love your floss tubes. You and Stitchy Witch 42 were the first ones I watched...boy did I watch me some floss tubes trying to catch up from when you two started. But am having trouble figuring out the stitch count and dimensions of the fabric I need to buy. Could you tell me what you used, so I can call Janine’s shop and get it on the way? Thx so much!! Am also curious if you were able to give the chart/kit for the little boy standing in the corner? If not just give it to goodwill. I don’t want to burden you!! I just went to the most fantabulous estate sale of a quilter. Went last weekend and spent $220. Went this weekend, the final day, thinking I didn’t need anything more. But I managed to find $240 worth!!! But when they had a darling music box for $3, and one of those really small triangular irons, with stand for $2, what was I supposed to do!!! Lol. Jelly rolls for $16!!! Now I have to organize and figure out what I am doing with all of it!!! Lol.. Needed to do a major overhaul of my sewing room and fabric store age room anyway!! Lol.
