Thanks for the video. Enjoyed the subject. I have become a selfish stitcher no longer gifting to anyone outside of my immediate family. Best stitching move I ever made. 🙂
This was fun! Like having a stitch friend next to me and just chatting away. I liked seeing how you stitched in hand -it wasn’t how I expected. I was thinking it would be the sewing method. Thanks!
Really enjoyed this I am trying to finish a really big full coverage for my grandson. I must have been having a senior moment when I chose it. Lol. So it’s my focus piece but like you I just couldn’t stitch it monogamously. So I followed you and am touching 24 projects on my wipgo board. Thanks for the ideas.
For me finding the right milestone takes trying it and perhaps adjusting. I have been trying different ones for years. It sounds like your max is 2 nights of stitching and then you are ready to switch. I feel like I am very similar, a couple of days is good then I want to move on. I find wanting to do more, but moving to the next WIP makes it exciting to get back to it! If that makes sense.
I'm trying a version of your technique with my stitching, but my goals are smaller because I don't have a lot of stitching time, nor do I stitch every day. Sometimes, I just don't feel like it. I might knit that day instead or do nothing at all. I also am doing a savings challenge in different dollars, amounts up to a certain dollar amount. So, that's been fun watching my savings grow a little bit each day when I wouldn't have put anything in savings otherwise.
I don't usually watch stitch with mes, but I really enjoyed this one. It's just really lovely hearing you talk. I always love seeing alll your projects as well and living vicariously through you. Having more wips than I can work on in a month stresses me out quite a bit, so I love seeing others work on so many different things. I totally feel you on decision fatigue. I only have 7 wips going at the moment, but I've given each of them a certain amount of days I want to work on them each month and then spin a wheel to decide the order.
I enjoyed watching you stitch. No one in my personal life does this type of thing so it’s great to watch and listen to someone else talk about it. I knew I should have ordered that pattern!! I ordered a few patterns, maybe 30 or so and I was like nah, I don’t need that one… but yea I do! I’m gonna go hunt it down now. 😊
I set some year long finishing goals, some year long starts, and then just hoping to fit in everything else. I like to stitch on project for 3 to 5 days. I like to be able to see noticable progress. I may have picked to much to do but I will just adjust as I go. I like to remind myself goals are not fixed. You can always change them. Enjoyed this stitch with me.
I enjoyed this SWM. Everything you said made perfect sense. I decided on getting a certain percentage i wanted to achieve with each project. I then work out the stitches i need to accomplish the goals. I'm using challenge groups to break down my goals further. Then when i finished stitching, i deduct the stitches from the chalkenge goal, so I only see how many stitches i need to stitch. I dont like counting upwards. Just backwards. Sounds strange I know. But i only have 9 projects. Baps! If i wanted to work on all my projects, your method would be the way to go. Happy stitching. And yeah...cat hair. Lol
I haven’t in the past but I might this year, with the milestones it’s going to be easier to see bc if I don’t finish in one session I write on the card how many, so I could see if one milestone was two or three sessions if that makes sense
