This was so great! I have never done a Chatelaine & have heard so many people say how overwhelming the charts can be. Watching you start it when you have never done one made the thoughts of it being so overwhelming go away. I admire how you jump in with both feet & just DO IT!!! And filming it on top of everything! Thank you!❤ Kim from Canada 🇨🇦
You're welcome!!! Chatelaine charts are a bit overwhelming but once you spend a bit of time with it, you kind of settle into the style. I always hope that seeing me dive into something will help take the edge off for others so they feel empowered to give it a try. 🤍🤍🤍
Remember it’s only one stitch at a time. I am currently doing Rainforest Lace. A good way to ensure that you always know the top of your work is to put an arrow (stitched or written) at the top of your material or in the very centre with the arrow pointing up
I really enjoyed your stitch along! I love the Chatelaine you are stitching. I’m stitching Japanese Zen Moss Garden Mandala and it’s my first. You can get the pdf version through Chatelaine.de only. I originally bought the paper chart but ended up purchasing the pdf and I think it’s the best way to stitch because you can zoom in. The support group for Chatelaine is amazing and I frequently need to look at the gallery photos. The gallery is separate from the photos tab. You can find the gallery there on the Facebook group. Also, the group is so helpful with any questions. Look forward to seeing your progress! Happy stitching ❤️
Now I am considering the Mandala's...Egypt Garden in particular- but not right now- it will remain on my radar though. I do not presume to know anything much about your story, but I am compelled to ask if you are familiar with Vagus nerve massage. If not, you might want to research it some- I am just familiar myself and will be trying it. There are several YT videos on it. It seems pretty easy to do and like anything else, you can keep it as simple or get into it on a deeper level. :) I look forward to your next episode!
Your suggestion on Vagus nerve massage is really timely! Just last night I was looking up massage options for a different thing and I saw Vagus nerve massage during that research. It's really intriguing to me! I prefer non-pharmaceutical options whenever possible. Thank you so much!
@@thebrowneyedstitcher Great! And this is why I always 'take the chance' and act/speak regarding my intuition on something- you just never know who may benefit! I am a Reflexologist, Reiki practitioner and trained (but not practicing) in Swedish/American massage, so more holistic options are also my preference. :)
Both! We dance at the same studio. She has three dances, I have two dances, and we are both in one for any mother/daughter combo who wants to participate.
Hi! It’s all just one x at a time. I’m working on Evening In The Park, and I take it one part of the center block and work out from the center. Don’t look at the big picture. Just one section, one page at a time.
That's what I'm trying to do! Breaking it down into smaller sections. It's good to know that that really helps working through these kind of pieces. Thank you for your advice!
