I hope you are feeling stronger soon ♡ Even though you are poorly, you really do look so well and full of life. Gary has done you the world of good. He is such a Darling ♡ I've loved seeing all your makes you are so clever! And yes they do look like play dough colours x
Oh, bless you, Paula,I hope you recover soon. I’m recovering from cancer surgery, seeing Gary cheered me up. I love everything you make and am lucky to have one of your pandas who sits proudly in my craft room
Paula, just got my bag…omg I loooove it. I am currently making crocheted keychains and this is the bag I’m going to use. Hope u are feeling better…thanks so much…Kim 💜 PS kisses to all your fur babies.
❤Aww Paula, glad to see you're feeling better, Whooping Cough is very nasty Loved seeing little Gary, he's soooooooo cute, we have a Shih-tzu too.... her name is Tilly Trotter and she's 6, she didn't bark when she was a puppy but once she found her bark..... OMG, talk about a foghorn .... 😂😂😂😂😂😂..... you can tell Shih-tzu means "little lion" 🦁 xx
Hi Paula. Glad you’re on the mend. Hooping cough can be very rough. I watch a doctor on morning telly talking about it and soo glad you’re vaccinated or it could’ve been a visit in hospital 😬🙈. Gary is soo sweet and calm ☺️. X
With one dollar in 1957, I could purchase 10 to 20 full size candy bars. I recall clearly as that is the amount Grandpa always passed out at each visit. I believe we paid 5 cents for a full size Hershey bar at the neighborhood grocery store. So sorry to hear how ill you have been and so glad you are back!!!
Oh Gary is the cutest little thing, his little nose! I’m so glad you’ve got him Paula, to keep you “comfort” as my children used to say. So sorry you’ve been so poorly, take care and rest if you need to. I love your videos! Xx
Oh Gary is just the cutest puppy, his yarn was well worth waiting for. I miss Wilko and Woolworths, they were both great stores. Paula I've sent you a message on Instagram the other day on the private messages bit, I didn't know how to pm you. Love Marion xxx
Hi Paula. Sorry to hear you’ve not been well. Whooping cough is awful! I had it when I was pregnant with my daughter. Please look after yourself and get yourself better soon. X
I love Gary, he's wonderful. The yawn was adorable😍 I'm sorry to hear you've been under the weather. I hate being sick, especially in the summer months when it's hot. Sending prayers your way for full recovery. All the socks were so beautiful, love the colors. I am working on a pair of Fairground socks while watching. I love the pattern. I'm planning on the Quilted sock pattern next, they look so.squishy. That Battenburg blanket with those colors is so gorgeous. Your squares are absolutely perfect, do you block them? The mosaic shawl is so pretty. I have been wanting to try some mosaic knitting for awhile, you have inspired me😁. Take care
I was watching you in bed Paula and had to wake my husband up to tell him about how companies don’t seem to do that sending away for things any more. We had a Kelloggs bowl collection when I was growing up, not as exciting as a doll I know. Can’t say husband was very interested if I’m honest 😂 Gary is adorable. Sorry to hear about your whooping cough it sounds horrendous, hope you feel better soon. I absolutely love the dress you were wearing, I’ve been looking for a pattern to make a dress in exactly this style.
Poor you Paula, I hope you recover completely soon. You will get your fitness back again I am sure. Lovely knitting, lovely crochet, lovely Gary and of course, lovely you. Take care.xx
The track was one of my dad’s favourite tracks too it’s foot tapper by The Shadows! Hank Marvin and co Speedy recovery! If entering the UK illegally you are welcomed yet a British citizen has to jump through hoops to leave for a holiday ! 🤬 poor Meg. She’ll be gutted bless her xxx
Hope you are tiptop very soon. Gary is so sweet and his little yawn 😍We still have Woolworths here in Australia, but it is a grocery store only. Downtown brings back memories of big teased hair, black eye make-up, pale pink lipstick, white boots and mini skirts xx
Gary is such a sweetheart! Campells soup is an American soup that’s been around forever. The doll is such a find. I enjoyed your video with my coffee this morning.
I’ve been so darn busy I missed out on the update. Paula I’m so sorry you have whooping cough. I understand it is just the energy… it zaps your energy to be so ill. The fairgrounds socks have inspired me to knit a Kaye Jones sock pattern. I’ve given up on socks but I love knitting on double points. I think the magic loops messed up my sock mojo. Too much magic of a bad kind. I have beautiful singles of various sock yarns. They need to be socks. I have some stripes as well. I’m not sick but I have fluid in my ear. It is making clicking sounds. The doctor gave me medicine to use but it has been near a week and I’m exhausted probably the medication along with the fluid. Oh yes I had dental work as well… my whole head is annoyed. Rest when you can you will get out running again. James socks are Aurora colors. Thank you Paula. I’m a fan of Mrs. D and mister and all the little ds. Poor Meg. She will be prepared now for the next opportunity.
Ok this is the 3 rd or 4 th time I’ve watched this!!! I miss your cheery face. Please give us an opportunity to see what’s going on with you and yours! Miss you
So excited I was able to get one of your bags before they sold out. You crack me up wondering if people will like your crafts. Everything sells so fast. You are so talented. So nice to meet Gary…he is sweet. Hope you feel better soon. Kim ❤
Thank you for doing a lovely video when you’re so poorly. I had whooping cough when I was a child, and I remember vividly how awful it was. I hope you feel much better soon. Gary is such a sweetheart, he must cheer you up! We’ve received our happy mail from you, Lady Jane Grey for Sian and the gorgeous little bag for me. Lady Jane is adorable, so detailed, I love her outfit so much, I hope she behaves herself! We have a new kitten, Sian brought her home from work at the vets. She’s beautiful and we love her to bits. She’s very tiny because she was dumped at the side of the motorway near us, she was only about 4 to 5 weeks old. Wicked people! But she’ll be very loved with us.❤️Feel better soon Paula, we missed you xxx
great video - when my mum was at school in the 1950s in inner city london, Petula Clark visited her school and spoke in assembly but i dont know if she sang too.
Hi Paula so sorry to hear that you have been so poorly. You are very brave making the video. Really appreciate it as you have been missed. 🥰 Your little baby dog is adorable. Xx
Paula you are such a joy with an absolutely beautiful singing voice despite you not feeling up to par.. I adore Gary.. I hope Lillian comes round.. I like to see her too.
So love watching you. So sorry to hear you have been so sick! Those childhood diseases always hit us adults harder! Gary is getting big! Your makes are just so adorable
I had to go find “Downtown” on RU-vid and listen to it. I had older siblings growing up that were teenagers so that song and others were always on the record player in the 1960’s. Wow , what memories. Paula, I hope you feel better soon. Your content is not rubbish and very much appreciated and enjoyed. X
Thanks so much for doing a video. Gary is so precious! I’m praying you get better soon. I love your crochet blanket .You always cheer me up when I’m watching your video.
My Grown up Daughter caught whooping cough in her early thirties. Her young Daughter had it really badly at the same time. She was expecting her 2nd baby at the time too. They had both been fully immunised. She said it was the most aweful thing when you felt you couldn't breathe. Get well soon Paula, I love your videos, just like visiting with a good friend. ❤
I hope you get better soon Paula. Sounds awful 😫 I’m broody now seeing Gary. He’s adorable. I have a Shih Tzu. She’s a rescue and a real little Madam 😂 I think Shih Tzu means Lion Dog and my goodness she is frightened of no one 😂
Paula I’m absolutely delighted with my sock bag and bits and bobs pouch! Beautifully made I love them! Iv just started knitting socks with lay family yarn a perfect combination for my sock journey 🧦 It was a lovely surprise to open your parcel this morning 🙌🥰😘😸❤️💜❤️over the moon 😸😽
Glad you are feeling a bit better , its horrible. Gary is gorgeous he has the sweetest face. He looks like a kindly old gentleman with a moustache. Enjoy and take care hopefully you are feeling much better soon
You accomplish so much even though you are feeling poorly. The socks are beautiful, the crocheted blanket is looking great.Little Gary is adorable ,such a cute little boy.Feel better very soon.TFS
I am sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. I hope you are feeling better soon! Your puppy is an absolute love! The yawn was worth the wait! I have a Shih Tzu and I do believe they are quite special. Your battenburg blanket is beautiful. I look forward to seeing the progress as you go. Please take care and rest when you can.
I made a Battenberg blanket for my daughter ( I made it in 4 ply cotton- 275 squares) then My son wanted one so I had to make another 275 squares. My ones were made in several colours. This is the first time I have watched you and I am really enjoying this video so I will keep on watching you. Regards from New Zealand.
My daughter got whooping cough when she was about 3 and it was horrible, she couldn’t keep food down, we had to feed her a bit at a time as she was plumped up on a pillow and stay there for about a half hour not moving. She had a box of tissues and a bowl that she took everywhere with her for about 3 months in case she threw up. Poor little sweetie, she got so thin and was exhausted all the time. I hope you feel better soon. Gary is just sweet🥰. For my 12th birthday I got a record player and a few 45 records , Petulia Clark’s Downtown was one of them. I also got Beatle boots and hat, thought I was pretty cool.🤣😂
Your "moaning" about whooping cough encouraged me to go to the Emergency Room about my worsening 4 day cough. We are also seeing it here in the U.S. I feel much better now after treatment 🥰
So sorry to hear you are feeling poorly with whooping cough. I do hope you feel so much better soon. Gary is the cutest little thing. I am not a 'doggie' person but Gary is just like a little baby. ❤❤
Gary is just the sweetest wee dog. He looks like a real live teddy bear! I would love to cuddle Gary. So glad you got him Paula. You poor thing, getting whooping cough. You don’t hear much about that these days. I remember my mum telling me about my cousin getting it when he was six weeks old (back in 1945). She said it was the most pitiful thing to witness in a tiny newborn. I do hope you get over it quickly. It must be very painful and frightening… and I hope you get your singing voice back too!! Loved seeing all your socks today, and the Battenburg is absolutely gorgeous. As soon as I saw one of your baskets appear today, I jumped on to your Kofi and managed to get one! 🥳 I’ve missed out so often by not being quick enough. I also miss Wilco. Don’t know why they closed down. It was a great shop. My dog Archie does that same thing when he yawns. He is four years old now and still does it! 😅 I do hope you feel better soon. 😘
So sorry you have been so poorly! What a horrible thing to have. Puppy Gary with hiccups was the most adorable thing ever! What a cute and lovable puppy. Your socks are lovely as all your knitting always is! X
Pauline, sorry to hear you've been so unwell. My daughter had whooping cough as a baby and it was horrible and scary. The doctor said that sitting in a steamy bathroom would help as the warm steam helps to open up your tubes helping you to breathe. Also sleeping elevated with pillows helps too. Anyhoo, I hope you feel better soon. Puppy Garry is gorgeous. I love that puppy smell😊. You take care. X
Gary is adorable, such a cute yawn. Lots of lovely socks I’m making a pair of fairground socks at the moment such a lovely design and I have the patchwork ones ready to go next. Your battenburg blanket is looking really nice it looks so squishy the colours are gorgeous. Hope your feeling better soon, take care of yourself sending love and healing hugs xx
I can't believe you got whooping cough! Who would have thought? I'm so sorry. But it's such a good thing that you were running as much as you were (your lungs were strong!). Beautiful projects as always! 💕 Lindsay
Greetings from Denmark 🌺 it’s Always so lovely to see you and what beautiful things you’ve been creating from yarn and fabrics 🤩 What a charming smiling sailor 😍, and the sweet dolly could look like it is made of rubber ? I had an old babydoll made of rubber , but time had sadly dry it out and it cracked ☹️ so if you doll is made of rubber , be sure to keep her young by rub in some oil on her ☺️ your Gary baby is adorable ❤, he is one quite puppy 😆, I would love to see him in action and how he interact with his new siblings the fur members of the family 🤩 I’m so sorry you are coughing like this 😩 , many years ago when I was working with children I got a cough, and it continued for so long that I finally went to the doctor, she said it was properly some kind of whooping cough, and it continued about 6 months , I didn’t get any medicine 😫 I hope you are well sooner with the support of the medicine 🙏🏻 take care with lots of rest , knitting , special favorite, and cuddling with your lovely fur babies ❤️
Loved the wee sailor fella..such a cheeky face ! mind you saying that I hated dolls when I was a girl..I used to think they came alive at night...sitting on the windowsill with staring eyes..my sister had an awful one with bright red hair and green eyes...yikes..I once hid her in a welly boot..Gary is gorgeous..what a sweetie..your blanket is beautiful..such talent..☘️XX
Dearest Paula, I’m so sorry you’ve had whooping cough but glad to hear you’re on the mend. Years ago when I had my eldest daughter we both acquired it in hospital. So terrifying when you cough and cough then can’t breathe in to catch your breath. Please take good care. All your socks look so cosy and the blanket will be a work of art. So pretty.
