I've had my hands on 2 592xp's!!! Yours and one of my buddies that I ported, and the power of them things absolutely blew me away!!!! 2 great running saws no doubts.
@@wheelchairhillbilly without machine work not alot at all. They have very spicy #s stock. Squish is a tick fat stock, but not crazy. Base cut will allow you to bump the compression a bit and lower the roof, that alone seems to help out a good bit. Bit I'm sure a chamber cut would really wake them up and allow some more room for movement of #s
Yeah 592's are saws that truly dont need ported as they're already really spicy from the factory.. mine dyno'd at 7.98hp stock which was low for one of them (typical for them is 8.4-8.7) and I'm now running 9.3hp ported
I was about to type you should add finger ports to the 660 but you mentioned it. Adding fingers and opening up the lowers without touching the other ports makes for a strong work saw. I currently have a bb on my 660 with finger ports, it's alright and fairly fast but I know I could build a faster stock sized cylinder. The bb cylinders are 30 bucks so im experimenting with those.
@@tedneitzel only way to know is on a dyno though, as you'll know from this channel here gains can be very perceived but sometimes little realized. I know of his channel and I'll flip through and watch some of his 592 build tests tho
