They are both nice saws for sure. I like that you can grind the divider on the 365 xtorq transfer covers and have a 372 XT, or eventually swap it all over to an XP (or big bore) top end. I think the 562xp would be best for the guy that just wants to go cut lots of wood, the 365 XT for the hobbyist that enjoys to mod as there are tons of options and aftermarket parts available.

A fun video so far. The saplings kind of need to die. As a forest grows it’s trees need more room, it’s canopy keeps the young bucks at bay. Cleaning deadwood for heat is honorable, cutting it for fire prevention is noble.
I agree on the 562 i have a ton of saws and i grab my 562 98% of the time and if i had to pick only one saw 562 would be it. Just cause its light fuel efficient and it will pull a long bar about as good as the 572xp
@@chaddean3083 ill agree with that i use 70 cc and bigger for larger stuff and 60 and smaller for little wood but i still run longer bars on them just cause i normally dont bury them in wood
@@DoyleShadduck oh there is if u get someone porting them that knows what there doing and i said they do about as well not as good of course anything bigger is gonna be stouter but as far as power to weight the 562 is superior it amazes me the amount of dumb people that comment on u tube like yall three are the only ones that knows a 572 is stouter than a 562
Love your content Tinnan. I'm on my third build, thanks to your "how to port a power saw series" first build was a 52cc Dolmar 111i. Really happy with the results....especially now it has a second muffler mod done. Second build was very mild....a Chinese 372 copy....only did the transfers and a base gasket delete....exhaust opens at 96 ATDC so didn't want to move it up any more. I am wondering what you normally find exhaust opens on a genuine 372. Currently working on a Dolmar 115. Same as the 111 but closed port. Going back together tomorrow. Cant wait to ring that...building an iron horse muffler for that one. Got a few stock Stihl saws 018, 034. 500i and a Homelite 330. Want to add a couple of huskys to the mix. All saws make me happy. Thanks for your channel. Hope Mrs Tinman and bub are well.
The best is the one that gets your job done with the least work. Every tree and every job is different. For me that generally means a factory hot rod. A mod saw would be nice and I watch this channel to motivate me build a kinda big slightly hot rod. Backup will be the stock pro saws. 346xp and ms360. A mod 70ish cc would be fun. A 2511t is also on the to do list.
You're videos are AMAZING!!! I need help!! I can't find anyone that compares the 365 special to 365 x torq, stock, for firewood and a little felling and bucking. Which one is better for power and longevity?
Beautiful video, my friend! Really appreciate your comments about positivity, which is why you have attracted so many great subscribers! 👍💪🙏 As far as saws close to that class, I keep coming back to the Husqvarna 359. Probably my favorite all-around firewood and smaller tree cutting saw. Back when they were regularly sold, the price point was good, and I think the value is great!
I’m late but it was a great video. My favorite is what I can afford and have. Nice point about the long bar and it being away being better. But I think an 18 inch bar really wakes up a 60 cc saw. My husky 460 became more fun when I went from 24 down to an 18. But to each his own. Saws are like people each have good in them if you look!
I agree with your comments about all the online negativity. Seems that there’s more of that going around these days about pretty much everything. I had an early 372xp (01) for 10yrs, and in 2011 it was stolen. Good saw, never an issue with it. Replaced it with a 2011 562xp, have had it for13yrs & no issues. Always liked a screwdriver saw, but can’t complain about the auto tune on the 562. They don’t take well to mods cuz the a/t can’t always compensate, but in stock form the auto tune genarally works well. Been looking @ an early 365 special (65cc) that I can pick up @ a decent price, so I can have another old school saw. Good video, keep em coming!
Everyone has a favorite old saw, but generally manufactures make improvements to their line of saws in order to continue to sell to demanding professionals. The newer saws are generally easier to live with day to day, but I still like using the old ones too.
I jave a 550xpmk2, 562xp and a 592xp. 562 and 592 both run 28" bars full comp square ground chisel and the 550 gets a 20" bar. I honestly dont even know what to use the 550 for anymore lol. I can just use the 562 for light and medium cuts with the 28" or a 20". I love the 550mk2 but that thing is just too damn fast for light work and too small for the other stuff since i have the 562xp but i wouldn't get rid of the 550. In texas jere we have fat oak trees and pecan. Last pecan tree i cut was about 3.5 feet in diameter took that down with the 562xp before i got my dream saw 592xp.
Willows are for wooden shoes; They don't split... Well said, there is no saw that is best. Only the best for you to do with it! I like making modifications on saws, but not pushing them to the limit. I've never used a timing wheel, just two-stroke logic And it works for me!
Have a 372xp love it. Just bought a 365 xtourc did a small logging job to day with the biggest tree being 26in on the stump. I use 30 and 32 I ch bars full house and semi scip. Like bothe saws am going to do some moffeler work on the 365 and take out the baffle plates.
How do you put a bark box on a 562 xpg mark 2 can you use pop rivots or 2 screes with lock nuts what would you suggest can the muffler be split? If you can help please let me know the barj box i have is from wcs thank you

My 1990 262 still my all time favourite. Got farmertec 372 this fall. Impressed with it. But, G660 & G395 are both 8kg bare weight, exactly same as G372 I’d already ordered. To reverse my buyers remorse I’ll get one of these next. Gotta love Farmertec, built for the working man
My favorite for smaller stuff is my 257 w/20" bar & a full house chain. It's a perky saw. Very old, like me. Had it since new and just good maintenance and it's still a ripper. Bigger stuff, my 288 xp. That's another story. 🙃
Congratulations on 27k well deserved. Both saws looked to cut that punky willow...😆, with ease as they should. But the difference in weight would give the edge to the 562 in my book. Both wonderful saws. Nice to see stock saws run. Kind & healthy thoughts for Mrs. Tinman, TC Tinman Mahalo🤙🤙🤙
I liked using my Dad's old Model 61 Husky, until the oil pump went out. Now I have to say my favorite is the used and abused $50 455 Rancher, it always starts and runs.
Having never ran either, from what I've heard, seen and read, if I had to only pick one for everything I'd prefer the 562xp. But I really like that husqvarna kept the good Ole 300 series alive for a little longer with the 365! Even if I'm not the biggest strato fan.
Hey Tinner!! Purchase question for ya. What’s your thoughts on the 562xp (x-torque) for $500 8.5/10 comdition Is this a good saw to have for firewood work. Wasn’t sure if you liked the xtorque or not so much. Thanks for the help bud.
Watching trying to make a decision on what next Husky to buy...Leaning to a 372. I like your channel and honest reviews and tips although I gotta say, over 20 years I've not had a problem with my Stihl flippy caps I had to replace the fuel cap once because the seal was leaking but one replaced cap over 20 years of use is dang good. I don't get why they leak for some people, maybe the same reason mine did, just need to replace it for like $15
Hey Tinman, very solid approach I would say. People have different needs and are build physically their own way. It is good to hear your thoughts on various saws because few of us have access to so many different types of saws as you do. The kid in the local shop often only knows enough saw basics to sell the odd one and may be well meaning but really doesn’t have saw background. I just scored a Jonsered 2165 and although I have never used one I feel good that its a fit for me in large from watching your vids….and thanks for them.
The Lumberjack Jackyl Composition: Jesse James Dupree Ha haaa I was born in the backwoods Of a two-bit nowhere town Fathered up some rock 'n' roll (baby) So your mothers could boogie down I ain't whistling Dixie No I'm a rebel with a groove All around the world the go 'round and 'round When they dig on my new stainless steel sound oh yeah I'm said a lumberjack baby And I'm gonna cut you down to size I'm a lumberjack now baby And you're the one you're the one that gets my prize When you hear my motor running You know I surely be coppin' a rise Oh! So I'm gonna crank it up down the alley and jack it Woo I'm a lumberjack now baby I'm a lumberjack now baby I'm a lumberjack now baby Ohh I'm a lumberjack now baby But I ain't jacked my lumber baby Since my chainsaw you (Oh yeah) Ha haaa Whether you like it or whether you don't woo That's the way we like it
I'm getting a Alaska chainsaw mill so I can slab some ash and hickory thats just more than my woodland mills 126 mill can handle. I'm not a lumberjack hell I'm 61yrs old but it's more than my echo 590 can handle. Please guide me in the direction for a chainsaw with a 10degree chain going 12ft or more several times that can take it, pull a 36inch bar (or bigger, got a walnut that's massive) and will treat me and the wood it's cutting with the same respect I give the saw.. shewww. Thank you..
interesting to see another view of the saws and bars to tackle this job with, if I were doing this job I'd take my 550xp wth 13" or a 562 with 16". horses for courses :-), had my 562 since 2015, its lovely saw, enjoy and stay safe bro
I appreciate that you didn't forget about the 365. All about the 562 these days. I've replaced my old 272XP with a 572 and the 365. 365 isn't here yet, had to mail order one, local shops don't carry them. Piped the 572, horrible OEM muffler, horrific in fact. Thanks for not forgetting the seldom talked about 365.
Enginerring it's called "Use Case". What are you going to use this for? Firewood? Falling big lumber, falling small hard lumber? Homeowner, professional? The "what" matters. Can you run a Stihl 881 Magnum ported with a 3ft bar to cut firewood? Sure. You going to be happy at the end of the day? Maybe, maybe not. Anyway, if you are happy with your saw for the job you are using it for, ignore what anyone else says.
I own the 562, the 570 and my buddy has the 365 xtorq. 4.7, 4.8 and the 570 is 4.9. But the 570 can handle a 32 according to husky, says it's because the chassis is stronger more rigid. Nobody makes videos on the 570. Wanna borrow mine?
I got a bunch of saws. Usually I go with the 353xpg and 15" or 550xpg with 13". If its larger trees I'll bring with me the 560xpg and 18". But the 372xpg with 20" usually stays at home, its good but just to heavy to carry around. This is my standard set up. I think they are best balanced with those bars. And there aren't any big trees around here in mid sweden anyway. I have longer bars that I can use but it just feels like they are in the way and I loose a lot of speed. Maybe its worth to notice that xpg is a bit heavier than an xp due to handle heating, and I'm quite short. Anyway I fully agree that everyone should use the saw they like. There is not such a thing as a perfect saw for everyone and every job.
About what we like, I like the long stroke skinny bore, I feel like they have more low end torque, I'm not brand specific, I run dodge and Chevy, not the others, JK, stay strong guys
Hey from the UK Tinman. I’ll give you a tip, the 365XT is set lean from the factory, get her dialled in ASAP. I had a piston start melting, turned it off before I totally junked it. I Rebuilt her with a Meteor top end. Respect.
My local dealership had two 562s Probably left over from year prior bought the set for right around 800 no idea about saw the only husky I’ve ever owned is a 395 and it a love hate thing with that saw she’s a moody son of a gun just cause it never gets used and when it does I pamper it needs to be run and run hard anyway I got a 20 or 24” bar on one and a 28” on the other and I’m here to tell ya I was pleasantly surprised at what a ripper they are power comes on quick always letting go of some throttle so I’m not constantly on the rev limiter and everyone was having problems starting them but couple pumps of the bulb throw the choke on a pull or two so it fires touch the trigger so choke opens up but still on high idle minute or so on high idle squeeze trigger and she’s ready never had any problems like I said was pleasantly surprised
When l bought the 365 , l thought it was a tiny one , last year l bucked a fourty inch windfall , right down to the stump , no problem . What ? No Bucking pads 👍🇨🇦
We should all be here to learn and enjoy our power saw not to bash others no time for that nonsense . I am 55 years old have been tinkering on two strokes since the early 80s and still learning keep up the good content I am sure to follow you and the ironhorse Thanks Friend for your time 8 30 pm from North Carolina
I look at saws the same way I look at trucks. If they work, and work well for me, I like them. Edit: How do you like the 6.5 diesel? I've found a few for pretty cheap.
Tinman good one as always. I myself like the 60 to 70cc Saw's. Run them in there power band and they will get the job done. Hey tinman can you please do a video on your experience using Optimal or opti.2 two cycle oil? This oil is amazing!!! Thanks tinman GOD BLESS YOU AND MOMMA AND BABY 🙏💪 HAPPY2STROKEN
If someone has to talk smack about there saw work Is the best you already know that is bs a bad ass doesn't have to talk anything up they let their product do the talking
Picked up a Jonsered super 820! I think it's a 281 with the Jonsered bodywork. Needs a full wrap but I think that's going to be something I'm going to have to make.
there is a new chain its been out about a year called ORBIT the company is out of Main USA the guy told me it is better then oragon holda a edge longer and you can tell the differance when you sharpen it
Great to hear that message ! Just aquired my first pioneer p12. All there but the rear antivibe mount. Unobtanium. Any suggestions would be appreciated. 27000 subs and still climbing. Awesome... Hope Mrs.Tinman is doing well.
Great video....I own more saws than I can count off the top of my head. Every one of them does something better than the others. And to be honest, sometimes the mildest saws get the nod just because they are easy to start, run and are good on fuel. My 2258 and 2159 are my most used saws just for that reason. I have the "pro" versions of both, yet often they're more than you need and the increase in power is no advantage. I consider the 2258 and 2159 the best firewood saws ever made for the average person. Yet when the wood is bigger, twisted and hard I'll grab my 2165. You just learn with time what saw does what job well.
If you like saws, you probably have a few of them. It is interesting to me to see which saw I grab, and why. Sometimes I grab the muffler modded Dolmar 510, even though it is heavy, and not super fast, just for fun. It is smooth, and gets the job done, and who cares about 1 second when you are working. For bigger wood, I always grab either the Dolmar/Makita 7910 or Jonsred 2071 (372), both of which have longer bars and rip good. But, some years I have cut more than 1/2 of the wood with a 50cc saw, Dolmar, Echo, Poulan - whatever, if the chain is sharp. Old saws sometimes for nostalgia. But, my best all around saw for regular sized firewood is definitely the Jonsred 2260 (562). Light, fast, nimble, and solid once you figure out the stay at high idle for a half minute when starting sometimes, and set high idle when hot starting. Autotune is great, but different if you are used to regular saws. Keep up the videos. Appreciate them.
