What are the results when you fully build a Taotao Pony50 scooter? And what is the exact difference is down to the numbers between when it was completely stock? This is that video
@@davidhofinger4927 A lot of these are a luck of the draw. You gotta have the content that will draw attention. The comparison was what did it. A straight demonstration video does not have the same pull. Double the output is more than most people,.. anybody would expect.
You still need to do your homework you got 80cc you dropped the oversized kid in there and everything's oversized of course you're going to be a stock 50cc bike you're not proving anything dude everybody already knows you're going to go faster you got to take a 50cc and make it happen you got to do your homework not trying to be rude but you need to go back to the drawing board dude
Great vid man been stuck. With a non working bike waiting on stator and see if I get it running again had no spark and big bore kit front cylinder stem pop off replace that really pain in the ass
Yeah I’m diving into that within the next two weeks actually this comment kind of inspired me to focus on aesthetics and I definitely and you should check out the most recent video where I give an update on all the parts I’m going to get for this pony 50
Unfortunately has gas gauge is broken out the box go figure Chinese bike lol We could not compare gas mileage but I do remember from when my bike was stock I got at least 80 miles per gallon and now I have 40 so once again cut in half
That was the best video about that Tao 50 that darn wind months could tell the black one is the winner right because it’s the one with the big motor I thought it would go fast too which one is faster I couldn’t tell with the wind or do they both go fast the other one have the speed record they need motor oil help with the gear the blue one is low on gas. re-build is the flue on top of the for top end? Stock transmission in the black one makes it fast I bet I like it. It’s a good knowledgeable video near should I use Castro oil in gas tank thank you
Oooh alright SO 80cc Big bore kit A9 camshaft Sealed valve cover 20mm Glixal carb 96 fuel jet Cone air intake Open aftermarket exhaust 4.5 rollers Polini variator Gates powerlink belt NCY clutch bell Yellow contra spring Yellow clutch springs 49/17 gears Michelin S1 tires That should be all of the performance modifications
My stock 2018 taotao pony 50 hits 41 on flat ground so I should expect at least 50 without the speed restricter with the new cvt kit and I’m looking to go for the 100cc bore kit as well so after that’s done I’m guessing 75-80 mph
Test and tune, tune and rest until you find the perfect harmony for your build A few months after this video I was playing with rollers and sliders and actually went down .5G’s with some rollers (so 4.5’s now) and FINALLY achieved that elusive 50 mph mark and actually pulling 52 on the good days Smallest change equals the biggest difference alot
With them the hurendetd sister but I think they are six hunt dead ain’t if u can I would deleaver I wonder how long it should take to come in long has it ain’t over thurndread a mont
Abso frickin lutely 80, 90 even “100cc” 52mm piston Big bore. With a stroker crank it you want 44mm stroker crank + 52mm dome piston Is the absolute biggest possibly you can go with these 139qmb 50cc GY6 motors 47mm “80cc” is no problem at all With a stock crank too
About $600 On performance specifically, $900 total on the bike on everything even outside of performance That’s why I got my two stroke, I get double the power with the same amount of money with much more ease these Chinese 4 strokes take a lot to add a little that’s something I found very early on, But still worth it because it was fun and it looks good
The rollers I run in this bike is 4.5’s Stock is 5.0 gram weights. Yes Definitely a solid modification to do of many options that make a big difference if you go up or down in weight. (Edit) she hits 50mph even now with the addition of those 4.5’s 0.5 grams of difference made that elusive 50 become obtained now
I have a kisbee gy6 12 inch 72 cc with 20 mm cab stock clutch and contra spring powerlink 729 17.5 30 and 9.5 grams ( but only hits 30 mph .. if i go lower in wight the engine will scream in rpm but no power.. can you help me with a good set-up?
@@project6287 All I can tell you is to mix and match. It is a easy modification to swap in and out But 3.5’s, 4.0’s, 4.5’s, 5.0’s, 5.5’s, 6.0’s Install each of them test it and see what it does and then they sell packs of them for tuning just like this Polini sells a kit of them that’s what I use. Roller tuning is my favorite CVT thing to tune, it’s easy, fun and fast. And with each .5 of difference you will notice a different result
@@davidhofinger4927 I tried 6 grams 7 and 8 but the engine revs a lot but no power at 6 grams it pulls very quickly to 60 km/h but then makes a lot of revs.
@@project6287 go lighter, less is more a lot of the time. On my built 70cc 2 stroke I run 3.5’s and it LOVES it. 4.5’s on my 4 stroke here, 6.0’s were too heavy
Unfortunately he’s right because those for speedometers are off the stock in logs for speedometers are off by a lot if you GPS verify your speed with that app you’ll See your true speed most likely
The hard part is not knowing how to weld and outsourcing a welder that would custom fabricate engine mounts onto the frame. I don’t regret this decision, because I have learned everything to learn about these motors and bikes, in general from this experience. BUT My 4th Bike will be a 50 cc frame with a 150 swap because I am more connected with people now and then bored out to a 171cc kit with NOS I’m going on on that one lol no joke
Man, you really haven't sratched the surface of what a qmb139 50cc can do..I port and polish the head. Boost the compression so the starter barley has enough snot to start it. My scooter will run 59mph pulling the entire 1/4 Mike. Mikuni carb, cam, head. 52mm dome top piston..Stainless exhaust, etc. I wish I could show you how I could blow that snail of yours
Get a 19mm or 21mm Nibbi Carb they open up all the way with way better throttle responce , it will give you faster acceleration and more on the top end . Get some 9gram Dr Pully sliders you will get faster acceleration and some top end , only down fall with Sliders is that they wear out faster just have to check them once a month . With the 2 I just mentioned you should be hitting 60mph and you look light weight so you should hit 60 easy . I'm 200lbs and my DF SRT is getting 62 but I went with a 53mm Big Bore Kit . Switch to a Bando belt they last longer and don't tear as much as Gates . And a ton of scooter forums riders use the word " Modded " instead of Built bike , all bikes are built .
mate i own a aussie branded taotao 50cc and my top speed is 50mph roughly 80 kph. all i did was adjust the valve clearance and tune the idle mixture screw. no big bore kit no excess bullshit i shit you not mate, haven't even went into rejetting yet and a pod fiilter. its all in the needle c clip height and the valves and fuel mixture. also expect the 80cc to ruin the motor quicker just a headsup fella
Heads-up fella, all analog speedometers are anywhere from 12-7mph off on every single scooter. Also turns out my 3 year old cheap Chinese 80cc big bore kit with every single modification down to the motor/trans/intake and exhaust is still running strong with heavy abuse. Your scooter doesn’t do 50mph stock and if by some weird chance it does, a built scooter would SMOKE an stock scooters 0-50 speed by at least half the time. Sucks to be stock
I lick to put some Mickey on it some speker in the middle of it the three mp players and how much longs it ain’t over thurndtead two of them them is the bum
You need to tinker with the built again mine goes 45 stock I know if I do build it it will go 60 they meant for 70 or 80 but ima post videos to help with all that
They definitely will never EVER hit 60 70 or 80 with a 80cc or 50cc displacement. These GY6 139qmb motors simply are not capable of that 150-171cc GY6 motors sure, especially of swapped into a 50cc frame but not the 139qmb’s
This is Steve from Annapolis Maryland I have a 50cc bike that runs over 40 mi an hour I got the racing cylinder head with oversized valves I got the racing I have a racing a tank am performance air filter and all the high performance ignition give me a call if you want to go faster
Higher displacement always wins but you could take low cc bikes 50cc that is if you do your homework I can get the bike to run just as fast as yours that's the easy way out come on man slap on a bigger piston of course you automatically when it's like a mini bike against a Harley-Davidson that's not it's a no-brainer
Your 30cc more and displacement alone against the stock 50cc bike of course you're going to win you got to do your homework you could take a 50cc if you know what you're doing but the high performance parts and you can make it run you don't know what you're talkin
Steve you are the most disrespectful commenter I’ve ever had on a video to be quite honest clearly I know a thing or two you haven’t seen my channel you should do your research on mine and you would see that This was not a race to see which one would win clearly the modified one will this was a COMPARISON video, In the thumbnail it says “How much faster” NOT “which one is faster” but you just like to see what you wanna see and try to correct me when you don’t know what the hell The point of this whole video even was
I came to this video because im trying to see if it's worth buying one, and if I do, how worth it are the upgrades. I read the title and knew exactly what your video was and that it was what I was in need of information wise. My only thing is I'd like a parts list and where to get those parts!@davidhofinger4927 Maybe we can communicate somehow, good video BTW besides the wind.
