73 yo and on a very fixed income, I know that a lot of viewers are big on organic, non gmo, etc., but we buy what we can afford.

I went into our local Dollar Tree yesterday. It has been over 2 years since I have. What a difference. They redid the floors and the shelves were moved around. I was surprised to see items over the $1.25 price point. I did enjoy looking down at each aisle. Our teen son had a lot of fun picking up Halloween items. I tried to get everything for tostadas. I got crunchy shells, tostada shells, Verde sauce, a large container of taco seasoning, and a microwave packet of a two-serving spanish rice. Son was adventurous and tried a lobster egg roll from the freezer section. It was only $1.25. He said he would definitely get it again. "My eyes said No but my mouth said yes!". Quote from him. You will need a fork to eat it with. The only thing I would recommend is look at quantity/serving size. I noticed a lot of food items were smaller than what Walmart and other groceries offer.

That Nisan chow mein is delicious! Add some broccoli to it to make a non meat meal or add a few beef or pork strips to it, that's even BETTER! Stock up on it! They go FAST! Those lemon creme cookies, they are our local favorite and sell out FAST!

Walmart and Dollar General in our area of northeast Florida are getting away from self checkouts, too many people stealing.

Dollar Tree has pink himalayan salt for 1.25 whenever I go to Walmart the same size pink Himalayan salt costs 6.97

The green olives and mushrooms and pickles are all a great deal and very good 😊

Hope your having fun on vacay, fyi preps are on sale at Publix this week, bogo on Progresso souos, Chef Boyardee $1, Muller pastas, Betty Crocker potatoes etc.

The cider can chicken is fantastic price if you can find it . Everywhere else is $2 or more. Thanks for the info on dollar tree guys 😀.

The Evaporated milk is FILLED milk: It contains OIL. It is not good for you. The bouillon cubes there,(and others, like Goya) are almost all MSG. It is not healthy, and I am allergic.) The coconut flour is good. One grandkid that eats here likes the A1 from DT, one wopn't touch it. Grabbed a few of the Tuna and Chicken salad sets to have with us. THe last few years I have been stuck at one place or another (Mostly hospitals) and it was terrible the first time to not have something decent to eat, and these were really helpful when I had them

Lentils are the best and it might take a half hour to cook. Dollar General sells their salt for 95 cents in my area! It's been a while since I shopped at Dollar Tree.

We have Butcher Boy Coconut Oil in our Dollar Tree in Hamilton Ohio

The iced oatmeal cookies are the only ones that don't have hfcs. There is .02 difference in pasta price between DT and WW.
