Yes, the first thing you need to do is clean all the heavy oil off of everything. Lube normally and reassemble. Shot around 100 rounds of 3" heavy load, to fully break in properly. After that you shouldn't have any problems cycling any rounds.
I bought one of these m3500 two years ago and i love the gun but to give you a heads up keep an eye on your extractor. mine wore out after about a thousand rounds.
