I guess you reset the triggers with the safety Off ?

This isn't working for me is there something else to do? Safe on or off I tried both still no good!

Almost like information that should be included in the owners manual.

I am not able to get the triggers to reset via this method. I am afraid of breaking or bending something. Do I just need to plug ahead and use enough pressure to get it done?

I have a zabala side by side, do you have any idea how to reset the hammers on that?

Whoa!! I think this is the ONLY video on RU-vid that even touches on this issue. I had no idea the hammers have to be reset if you break down a Stoeger Coach Gun with it NOT being cocked. I thought I had lost a part or something. I was completely at a loss on how to reassemble it. This video was like a life saver!!! Thanks to Stoeger USA. Love my Stoeger!!!!

Wow, so glad I found this. I was in a bit of a panic like others, I was at at cowboy mounted shooting event yesterday, after I had already fired this gun twice, I reloaded for the next stage and shot a five balloons with my Ruger Vaquero, then pulled my coach gun from it's scabbard from my running horse, shot some more balloons and the next cluster of balloons just two seconds later when I went over the timer line, the fore arm just fell to the ground. (Don't know how that happened it never has before) Been using this gun for a few years never had trouble putting it back together. I could not reassemble it, and in desperation came here and problem solved. Thanks so much!

I've got an unrelated question. I've got a brand new coach gun and have put about 80 shells through it and it misfired twice. I was wondering why a new gun might do this. Other than that I love my gun it's fun and easy to maneuver around the house to protect my home if I need to.

I took it in the road with me breaking it down for space in case with another rifle and I went to reassemble again to shoot at an open range here in New Mexico , and suddenly it won't unify again. I was about to throw out out of my car for good and go buy a semi auto 12 G .... Instead. Many thanks

Wow, thanks for this! Just did a disassembly of my new (used) coach gun and one of the hammers let down. Slight panic set in and then I found this. Back together and all is good. Pweh!

Aren't I supposed to use a really BIG hammer, to reset the smaller shotgun hammers? This video illustration can't be right.

Regarding reinstalling the fore arm, I have 3 of these, 2 20's and a 12ga, and NONE of the forearms lock in to place. No click, no nothing. They literally just fall off. All 3 brand new, never fired, literally just took them out of the box.
