Basically be a passive consumer and don't critic anything! I am not very fan of this philosophy! I think gifted people are here to improve things!

Perhaps I didn’t convey Stoicism very well in this. It’s hardly a passive philosophy and many Stoics are all about making changes in the world! Depends on which Stoic of course. But in this piece I only focused on managing emotional turmoils SO one can use their energy to make changes in the world. And I absolutely love your perspective that ‘the gifted are here to change the world’ 🧠💡🧡 Thank you for the comment and opinion! Always open to thoughts and debates.

I am just learning about Stoicism and I think you did a great job in highlighting how these principles can help someone like me who is extremely intense and empathic. This state causes a lot of negative thoughts and the gift of sensing things others don’t. I love how you explaining seeing others “limitations” instead of thinking they are doing something out of spite. Being intense makes you feel like an alien in this world many times but I believe this stoicism will help my nervous system calm down. I always knew life was how you react but I always felt this anger because I always felt that normal people just take advantage and abuse my gift of empathy - now I know that gift is actually can be for my benefit when I stay calm and stoic. I spent a lot of my life impatient and easily offended at others not knowing why. Thank you Imi.

I think you did a great job at explaining it! I definitely will check out the books in audiobook form. I always thought Stoicism was about repressing emotions to appear strong, so this was really eye-opening and useful for me as I struggle with emotional dysregulation, depression, social isolation, anxiety and low self-esteem. These things seem to continue to come back even with many, many years of inner work, therapy, trauma healing, spiritual studies etc. I like the Stoic philosophy you presented. Thank you!@@ImiatEggshellTherapyCoaching

Thank you so much!!! Yes the word stoicism is misleading but depending on who you read it really isn’t about mere suppression but quite the opposite. To me it’s about facing reality head-on, with no defence mechanisms and denial. Basically, stop lying to ourselves!
