There is something special about watching Dean bat, takes me back to my kiddo days watching Test cricket with my dad he’s a real throwback of a batsman love it, also very underrated imo💯
We still remember Racist ECB highlights against India.. bcoz if someone watches these highlights after 10-15yrs then they can’t see Indian domination and England humiliation.. Racist ECB, and that’s what this England did all over the world for 300yrs.. rewrite history and hide facts to glorify England.. it’s proven once again by Racist ECB highlights against india..
Jansen has such a lot of potential..still young and learning but he adds left arm variety to the pace attack ,can bat and provides height in the Gully region. Above all I think he has a good temperament. Keshav squeezes every ounce of potential out of his batting and bowling.Cant ask for harder workers than Elgar,Maharaj, Erwee.
Rabada didn't look like he is coming back after a Injury🤩. Bowling the same pace & Hitting right length to pick his 5-fer is just Unbeleivable 🔥. Well Played 👏
Stokes is a special player and English cricket should be thankful to have him!!He and Root along with Anderson are absolute superstars in World cricket
Stokes is a good player but not special player. He is pretty inconsistent. Averages only 36 being a batting allrounder. Jadeja has a better average then him even though being a bowling allrounder
Games far from over but SA showed how to fight as a team today. Only one 50 on the score card from Erwee and yet they are 289/7 at close. Great team performance so far.
Don't forget...SA sit top of the WTC table. Jansen is incredible for a 21 year old and no wonder Maharaj was named cricketer of the year the other day.
7:29 what a stylish cover drive by Markram…one of the most beautiful to watch players in the world currently… just can’t match his potential with performances especially in test cricket
On this pitch - Rabada Seam, Swing , Ngidi- Same Line and Length, Nortje - Fastest Bowler for SA, Seam and Chin Music. Jansen is the Mixture of Rabada and Ngidi.
Well played SA. Sarel Erwee he use condition and played a sensible knock, rabada, his bowling was just fabulous. Congrats broad for your 100th test wkt at loards
dean elgar is considered as "Tough Guy" in SA circle. no wonder he smacked his players when they preferred league cricket over internationals. good to see strong SA team in making across formats.

Great job by KG, Jansen, Nortje, Elgar, Erwee, and Maharaj to get us to a substantial lead. I feel a lead of 180 to 200 might be enough to put us to great position to win the test. Also if we can chase any score under 200 in the 4th innings, we might win the 1st test
This South African Fast Bowling line up is the Youngest Fast Bowling line up in this Modern Era - K Rabada- 27, M Jansen- 21, L Ngidi- 26, Nortje- 28, Olivier- 30, Mulder- 24.
I think Dean Elgar play the role of Sir Clive Lloyd for This South African Test Side. Sir Clive Lloyd play the role of Father for his Young West Indies Side from 1975-1984.
I think a lead of 180+ runs would sufficient and then look to bowl them out cheaply again would be good enough but other than that I'm proud of our Proteas and I think the Boys have fought a good fight so far. 🇿🇦
Aiden should be replaced by Rickelton. So that Kyle can feel the pressure and value his wicket. At the moment he is thinking, his position is fixed. He doesn't bat in patient manner.
@@aryan45249 not yet, we all saw what Eng did to NZ and India..both had Eng well under control in their 1st innings of batting..but got blown away when Eng batted the second time
A lead of 180+ sounds a bit hypothetical, anything beyond 150+ would be worth gold. This proteas attack is good enough to prevent the Bazball effect even if the pitch flattens out. Maharaj will come into action and with a dry surface, Rabada and Njorte will generate reverse swing! Advantage SA all the way!
Maharaj and Jansen did what Shardul Thakur and Washington Sundar did for India against Australia. The importance of this partnership is they'll chase less in 4th innings, and more importantly provide a cushion for the bazball approach!
@@dhruvsinghrajput4748 bhai situation same thi, uski baat kar raha hun. India ko WTC finals mein qualify karne ke liye wo match aur specially wo partnership bahut important thi. Same goes with this partnership as far as WTC is concerned, though SA have many matches left.
@@dhruvsinghrajput4748 Pak were also close of winning against Aus in 2016. They had to chase around 450 and scored around 400 if I'm correct. This isn't the Australia of old.
Dean Elgar need to make retirement call at the age of 40 for this SA Side. This SA got a Captain who play the role of Father for this SA Side like C Lloyd retire at 40 for his WI Side.
England missed a trick by employing the short ball strategy to Maharaj when he came in. Potts isn't really a bowler ideal for short balls and maharaj was comfortable ducking under and leaving the balls .
They do it every frigging time to tail enders. There is a reason why tail enders are tail enders so bowl to them as you would to top order batsman and you'll get them out. Line and length
Tbh SA seems the best team across format. In T20i they are playing very well alongwith ODI and in Test they are superb. The have rejuvenated themselves after the retirement of Abd, Faf, Amla, Morkel, Philander.
SA has great opportunity to finish on a high note in the first innings, valuable contribution from their lower order batters has given the edge for SA to gain the upper hand, earlier Rabada added to his tally with a good 5 fifer well bowled. England do hv a daunting task to save this match..
Maharaj Janesan partnership might play big role in the game but England are always in the game in England. Doesn’t matter how many runs they are behind…
Lord's has treated us to good gritty Test cricket: Erwee & Petersen are classic style players, but Kudos has to go to Stokes for elevating England from a negative situation. His one flaw was taking too long to introduce Leach. SA are traditionally very suspect against spin and the trick is to let spinners have some impact before batsmen have settled. A slight trick was therefore missed; Stokes must consider this as SA will bat last. England came good at the right time. For both teams experience trumped exuberance; England do look good, but with a lead and Rabada in the mood SA look set to stifle English momentum.
M Jansen from S.A , Green from Aus and maybe K Jamieson . An era of over 6ft 6 fast bowling allrounders may be upon us . Love how cricket gives times where certain aspects of the great game are highlighted. The late 90’s -early 00’s …leg spin/ doosra, plus the Lara Tendulkar Ponting dominance and prior to that a great all rounder decade + K Dev, I Kahn, I Botham, R Hadlee.
