I just spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to put the paper pattern together, and figure out the cutting lines for the straps. I then watched the video after I cut out all the pieces! Lesson learned, don't assume you know how to sew! It might save someone messing up if you label the patterns by page, and suggest watching the video first to see that the pattern is not cut out and then stitched as most projects! Thank you for designing this so we can customize our grandchildren's seats, and save money!!
My daughter sent me the pattern along with the written tutorial. I don't understand what you mean by a "Baby Set in place" on page 1 of the instructions. What is that, as I don't have the highchair at my house. Also, I'd like to make the velcro seat form but am wondering if the stripes that you start with on page 2 are the dotted line vertical sections on the left and right sides of the seat cushion pattern that are marked by dashed lines, as "stripes" are not labled on any of the pattern pieces. Thank you.
Hi Barb, I will respond here, many people doesn’t know about the Stokke accessories: Baby Set is a plastic accessory that is attached to the highchair to secure the baby in the early age. It’s used mostly between 5 m to 1 year. After that period can be removed. If you are using Baby Set, you need to make between- legs opening in the seat cushion.
Information on pattern is totally unclear. I am an experienced seamstress and i would expect to be told basic info such as how many of each piece to cut and whether seam allowances are included. I am not impressed
Which piece of the pattern is the stripe (2 pieces) that you start your video with? I don't see any piece in the pattern labeled with "stripes". Is it the one with no label at all? Thanks for your help
