Hi adventurers! *Do you experience knee pain when hiking, skiing, running, etc?* This new technology may be the solution for you... Leave any questions for the Stoko team below, and they will get back to you! Happy adventuring 🏔;🌄⛰
I got a pair last week! I have a recurring injury of my knee. Two weeks ago, I dislocated my knee ironically trying to strengthening my knee. So after I was on the couch resting a balloon of a leg, and a commercial came on for STOKO. I was like it was meant to be, cause I have never seen this commercial before nor heard of these tights, I thought finally something different. Bought a pair right away. So far I am very impressed. Today I was on my youtube channel and somehow your video was something that I should watch. Low and behold these are not new and I am sad that I didn't come across this a year ago.
I also hiked Joffre Lakes in them, my first big hike in a looooong time, and while I did feel my knees on the way down, they didn't hurt the next day! I was so happy! Thank you Stoko 😁
I just received my K1 Stoko today. I ordered them according to their sizing chart, and they are really tight. Took me 20 minutes to put them on, but I think they are meant to be that way as they are designed to support the knees. I am in my mid 50's and play softball, so I will see how these preform. I have a troubled knee, had acl replacement surgery twice and both failed, so I'm hoping these help me as I'm tired of wearing a knee brace for the past 35 years.
They're super tight on my hips and stomach. I'm not sure how much actual support they give to my knees. Every time I tighten the cables all I feel is that it's squeezing my hips and my stomach. I'm really not sure about these yet. Also, I'm a skier and they go way too far down my ankle toward my foot. Bootfit101 never wear your thermals inside your ski boots. I wear a brace on my left knee while I ski. If I wear these as they're designed and they extend into the ankle area of my skiboots They're going to dig into my ankles and calves. Unfortunately I think I'll be returning them.
Im worried about the fit, are these for small to medium framed people? I need to see them on a larger framed person that have bigger waistlines and larger thighs-NFL linemen, Wrestler's, Powerlifters. These athletes need more seat room, from the videos I've seen it doesn't look there is.
Is there a place to find out more about use after surgery--specifically I had a tumor removed from my right leg which already had a drop foot. Could this be good for circulation recovery for example in the manner of compression socks.?
@@Odalisca1yeah, people tend to be way more rude online but they are correct: if you’re requiring a rigid knee brace then this is very competitively priced. I’ve just started looking into them and it looks like they are covered by insurance (assuming you have a prescription for a knee brace).
@@barbarab202 And that is why they cost so much. Insurance is a scam. I just had my physical and asked my doc about testing my APO B when he does my blood work. Since I haven't already had a heart attack, my insurance won't cover the cost, which he quoted the cost at $460. I went online to get tested outside of my healthcare provider, and the test only costs $15. Healthcare provider jacks up the cost because if the test is medically necessary, insurance will pay, so in this case they are basically stealing $445 from the insurance company, which of course is ultimately funded by us...
