Is the CH801 SD still on a manufacturing hold unless there are 5 orders received at a time? Are you actively building this kit when you have received 5 orders? Is this kit still coming from Canada or the US as well now?
The 801 Super Duty is THE upgrade..... with continued pushing of the envelope with Zenith working with AviaMaster Aircraft... bigger wings, bigger tail... 60 gallon / 224 litres fuel... 1400lbs / 636kg useful load... etc. etc. etc.
is the 801 from canada as refined as the 750 superduty ? thats my big question ? as far as ease of building . i mean this would be the do all plane for me
i dont think it would be any more work to build the 801 ,,,, i mean the engine is the same as the 750sd i quess , so why is there a sort of stall to not just go full 801 ? mabey this is where there headed if the cost isnt that much diffrence . anyway love the plane
A diesel or turbine version would be a killer overseas bush support aircraft. Something to pickup the lighter weight slack from the awesome, but expensive Pilatus PC-6.
I hate to sound like a student but i am, and curious of what type of situation the craft was put into and the proper stick input to recover so fast, Thanks for the videos
the pilot was deliberating trying to enter a deep stall, with extreme nose high, and then as the stall happened, he held the stick FULL aft, and kicked in full rudder. He was doing this because he was trying to make the airplane spin... SPINS are old-school... and most people who learned to fly in the last 20 years likely have no clue... FYI - this airplane seemed to refuse to go beyond the incipient stage, despite the test pilots aggressive entry. It was very VERY impressive. If you do a spin entry this aggressively in a C172, you will leave a pile of poop in your shorts.
Nice aircraft, and I just learned the 801 has floor mounted sticks instead of the center stick in the 750 and that's a shame. Is the center stick an option in the 801?
@@zenithairco The double command option is excellent. Especially for training of initiated pilots. Congratulations on the extensive performance and benefits of your machines...¡! Greetings from Argentina. 🇦🇷
I just learned the factory test pilot failed to recover this aircraft from a spin and it was irreparably damaged after an emergency airframe chute landed it... what happened guys? Why the video of what looks like a successful spin test program when it in fact was a failed test in a customer airplane? What did you learn? I own an 801 and I want to know... it would help me to better understand the airframes weaknesses as well as its strengths.
Can you point me to that info? There's no NTSB report, and I can't find that info anywhere, however it does look like the airplane was de-registered. I'd like to read up on it.
