🚲 Welcome to the first episode of "I am Nomad"! 🌍
We sit down with Marc, a true adventurer who has pedaled his way through an incredible 40,000 kilometers on his bicycle.
I was curious about his story. It's always exciting to get to know why people make the decision to leave home and go traveling for an indefinite amount of time.
So, let's find out Mark's motivation and jump into a hilarious travel story of when his phone got stolen in Iraq with an unexpected ending.
📢 Share your thoughts in the comments section below, and if you have any questions for Marc personally, here is his Instagram:

Tomorrow I turn 75. I need hip and back surgeries , Dr's say. But, I still want to tour. Went across Canada 50 years ago. Eastern France 6 years ago, following the path of my grandfather in WWI. But, every day I ride is part of the Odyssey of life. Every flower I smell, every hill I climb, every wave as I pass by, every smile I share - that is being alive .

When you mentioned "exposure" in the intro, I was like, "but this looks nice, what exposure is she talking about" because I was expecting the interview to take place at the same place. Then I got it. But forget the exposure, enjoyed the video and Mark's kurdistan story very well. Kudos to both of you ❤

Hi! I have had a touring bike for 14 years. I don't drive, so I rode everywhere in London, and I was a self-employed gardener, so I carried my gear in pannier bags. I have been going on one day cycle journeys for years, until recently. Injuries to both knees and a torn calf have kind of ruined things recently. But I have never really toured!😱😱😱I'm getting over injuries now and building up fitness to get ready for first tour!😊😊😊

Marc smiled through the entire interview, which says a lot. The message that good people are everywhere is priceless. "Wars are young people killing other young people who don't know each other on behalf of old men who do." The people are beautiful - the leaders, not so much.

I'm impressed with your first interview! The hardest part is often not interrupting the person in an awkward way, although sometimes you have to cut their response short. I found his testimony touching and so revealing! Beautiful encounter ! As for the story of the chain pin, it's beyond me because I have a belt = No noise, no grease, no breakdowns, no heavy equipment but above all, incredible longevity (approx. the life of 5 chains!). For the rest, personally, a large Tipi tent because it sets up in the blink of an eye and I can sleep with my bike in it next to me. Good luck to you^^ Have a good hike and go ahead for the interviews^^

Do did very well with your interview and questions! I enjoyed this video very much and agreed with what he said as I left the US for three years of going from place to place with no home to go back to. I was 69 and walked everywhere when I arrived at the next place where I stayed for one month. I learned so very much about myself and met a many good people. Traveling away from your own country and not as a tourist is a perfect way to move away from what you are familiar with and into new ways of being in the world. I just subscribed to your channel and am glad you appeared in n my feed!

This interview as a whole sums up the real idea behind travel (by bike or any other means). Expanding the Horizons as an individual, building your own mind and experiencing own feelings at first hand 👌😌🧿 Su gibi akarak = Running like water. Thanks for the honest reflections!

I wish this interview were longer! I loved it! My 'excuse' is being a woman and on one hand I would like to travel alone (I hate the idea of having to rely on a man for protection), but on the other I am scared of what can happen to me...

love u're new idea for this intervieuws. It's true that u forget what it is too live when living inside busy europ. ''not knowing u're neigbors''. I do feel like we are starting to live like the do in New york or LA. Love it hen i hear people in their 20's that already have more sense in their head then some of the 50-60 year olds rushing life in europ.

Hey hey! Well, for a first interview it was really not bad! I really liked it and laughed, really exciting! We (I think I'm not the only one to see it) see you evolve so much throughout your adventure! Keep it up, it’s great! Take care of yourself, have fun but above all, be careful on the road =) As they say in France, “Prudence is mother of safety”. A french touch Hey hey!

hi Cheerio, the exposure? I didn't even notice it. I liked the interview. Personally I would like more anecdotes about mechanical failures and equipment at large. about travelling, after two months' riding I get a bit bored and want to be at home but perhaps I will make an exception with a round the world travel. way to go. ferruccio from Venice, Italy
