I try not to read strategy for board games for several reasons but I stumbled across starvation for Strone Age early on in my BG journey. Someone in my group got the game this year and I've been enjoying it a lot. I don't use this strategy nor will I ever tell him about it, just in case it sours the game for him. But sometimes I wish I could try it, to see how effective it is. So, thank you for making these videos! This way I can see it in action.
It is an exploit that I suspect the game designers overlooked. Your tribe would get too weak to continue on before they eventually died. The 10 point penalty isn’t a practical deterant. You should get penalty tools and eventually have to canabalize one of your workers. Malnurished people can't produce healthy children if at all. I realize that is outside the mechanics of the game, but thematicaly this strategy doesn't fit.
