Arrowhead Hunting/ Treasure hunting Mississippi......digging continues in my honey hole and produces multiple stone aged artifacts including another beautiful Drill...thanks for watching
What happened Dumb A##? Where is your income? Did Spike or you either graduate High School? Seriously man? You MADE MY CHANNEL HERE MAN. I stole all you ad revenue. I can make you look like a FOOL on demand. And I am going to. You are TRASH.
Sure wish we had that material around here in VA. Mostly quartz and blue or gray soft chert here. Be awesome to run across some traded jasper one day. Awesome video man, keep it up!
Nice big hammer stone. I saw the indentation as you pulled it out. The stone being wet had a good reflection of the curvature. I actually found my first hammer stone last weekend. Heavy piece of river rock, not sure what it is. Always a pleasure watching and your drawl is pleasant to listen to.
It'd be great if you'd do a video showing the characteristics of the different periods, what a fire rock is, what heat treated is and looks like, and basic stuff like that.
It runs through a couple other campsites that don't produce much. This spot I been doing these vids out of is one multi occupational site in the side of a ridge...the creek brushes up against it for about an eighth of a mile. When you can see flint flakes in the sand.,you know it's time to dig..😂
@Theditchwalker Is your probing rod made of copper/brass? And is there any reason for that as the material used? Thanks, I admire your dedication, and enjoy your content.
Thought about yall when we drove through Missori on the way back to Sc from Colorado! We found some great fossils and crystals ! Not a ton of artifacts tho lol. Another great Vidayoo!
I love this stuff! Currently living in Idaho but grew up in N. Alabama. We used to hang around Cotaco Creek in Eastern Morgan County. We pronounced that CO tA cO Creek. You pronounce that Cot a cO. You are seriously my favorite channel. We used to comb the ag fields around Redstone Arsenal and found a few things after spring discing. Thanks for being so dedicated. Truly a YT treasure.
Joseph, jus found your channel, great finds! Great leg work ! People have no clue the hours that you have to put in to be successful, fellow relic/artifact hunter here. BTW,I'm jus up the road in Prentiss co,looking forward to hopfully meeting you soon, I'll be visiting the artifact show at Corinth at end of the month, imagine I'll see you there, keep stomping the mud Brother
I've finnaly found a spot and found some points ditch walker mesolithic to neolthic some scrapers knifes perfarators nothing like what you find but still amazing
Hey man, just finished your video. Thank you again for another great experience. I do like that probe you’re using. I sure like to see how that skinny metal rod is attached to that copper pipe you in your hand maybe one day you’ll show us how you made it appreciate all your videos you take care stay safe and sound. Thanks again.
hey - hey ditchwalker; may or may not… but doe in the Heart of Dixie, we find lots of blowgun “dart points.”. I’m talkin anywhere from 1/4” up to 1/2” at. widest point. usually, jut triangular shaped, nicely worked flint flakes, ( very few jasper, or chert). the way u sling around the contents of your sieve, I’m wonderin if u’r lookin out for the smaller dart points, or is it that there just aren’t many around where u hound for rocks? great finds, I backed up to some of u’r’18, & ‘19 vids; man u got some beaut’s outta the ditches & creeks! we find very few of the points in excess of 3”. only ever found one Clovis in 40+/- yrs. of hunting, all media, but mostly field finds. the hydro power plant regulates the water in the tributaries, and we very rarely get low water, to the extent that would allow wading in the creeks and rivers. great finds @ditchwalker! ps: give us u’r opinion on why the oldest points / tools are so much better made, prettier, than the newer stuff? u would think, trading methods and technologies, that knapping would improve, rather than becoming more crude, huh?
Yeah I get what your saying....I do look out for them...there doesn't seem to be many in this particular creek...just a few.I usually get them with this double screened sifter. Northern Mississippi has some of the best streams there is to wade and look for artifacts. I hunt the tombigbee watershed region...all the tributaries in the area drain in a southerly direction toward tombigbee river....it is mostly limestone to soft clay bottomed creeks with sand mixed in..the drainage is swift.,rolling over and wiping clean everything. Only in the winter. They silt in late spring for the summer
Hey Joseph How do you go about finding creeks that will contain the arrowheads and relics ? I live in Mississippi and I haven’t had any luck yet.. what should I look for and how should I make a decision about where to go ?
When you go be so careful, those Water-moccasin 🐍guys are territorial/aggressive/not friendly! Go after a rain, begin with a shallow ditch-creek, that aligns with the run off from a a field, particularly after they turn the soil. Look at the Landscape, try to pick a natural landscape that provides "water/creek or close to river, a natural break in the terrain with Trees, and blocking North Winds." Watch for areas for good Clay collection, you can find artifacts close to these zones. Above all, (expect to find something delicious, take time to appreciate the environment, give thoughts of appreciation to the Creator and the Earth for all the Life energies they sustain. Enjoy, take your time, so you don't break a piece getting it out of the soil. Best Thoughts, Best Finds! PS: Wear thin cotton Long sleeve shirt to keep the mosquitoes at bay, use Vicks Salve and (can add Peppermint Oil and Cedar Oil), to keep bugs away.
Sure enjoy watching ya. Quite question. I live in Kansas. My uncle owns some land with a sand creek. I was building minnow traps on a sand bar and just happened to find a really nice bird point. Are the chances good where there’s one there will probably be more?
I have a tubular work stone that I’ve never seen before in any vids , if you have a way for me to send a pic of it I would love your opinion on it dimpled in both ends long enough to fit right in my hand .
Great video my Friend. Killer little drill. Love that red jasper. I'm also a fan of the pecking/hammer stones. A little of everything in that spot. Ready for your next adventure, Thanks
Well man like I’ve said a few times one of the best channels on RU-vid hands down been watching you as long as you been on here all your knowledge is great I’ve learned a lot from you keep it up brother man your gona hit the mother load soon I feel it I just love that jasper around your neck of the woods take care man
if I’m finding a lot of points on the rock bars in this creek there’s a high chance the sandy stretches inbetween could be even better than the rock bars? A lot of crude stuff but also a lot of broken 9’s and 10’s
Great finds my friend! We’ve always watched and enjoyed your channel. You have always inspired us in creating our channel and sharing. We would love to have a keychain or wristband. Happy Hunting my friend! God Bless!
Some great Finds! I'm sure u probably already know this, but if you want to get the leaves off of the sifter , u can after sifting the sand u can push your sifter down under the water and out from you and it will clear those leaves and light material off , so u can see better. I do it a few times and it helps me alot. Awesome Vidayoo Again!
Nice bits there. That flat rock reminds me of the lead palm guards we dig over here in Britain from time to time. Used by leather workers when using awls and needles in making leather goods.
I always enjoy your videos! I learn from them! Looks like hard work sifting in the creek! But well worth it to find artifacts like that. Take care and happy hunting.
That last rock may actually be a shear stone or anvil stone. It would be used to hold a smaller rock to shear it in half to be used as a preform. Pretty sure that large flake you got at the first site was made that way.
They live in Russellville Alabama and collect Artifacts. Good dudes. I have been there hunting turkeys with them and I thought you may have been close to that area. There region is artifact rich. Little Bear Creek Valley. You find some beautiful artifacts. I really like the red jasper points. I am a primitive bow maker and hunter/flint knapper and RU-vid watcher. Keep the points coming.
