I didn’t realize what team gets the hit result in the first period. I might have read that wrong when I played and gave it to the wrong team. Marco, once I get comfortable, it might be easy to make a season from the old NHL 6 team leagues. Might be doable, Marco that scoresheet you’re using is different for me than the one in the game
Im curious Marco, You noted awhile back Dice United wasn’t very accurate as a Soccer Game compared to Soccer Blast, Isn’t Stone Cold Hockey similar in play design. It will be interesting in the long run to see how accurate Stone Cold really is. Thanks for your videos
Hey there! I did say that during my Soccer Blast video and it’s true. It’s true in this game as well but I would say it seems to be a bit more accurate since I believe hockey scoring is a tad more random that soccer scoring. There’s also scoring mods available by Stone Mountain Press to get more accurate scoring and assists. So far through the 70 or so games I’ve played I’ve noticed the top line guys score pretty darn close to their real life counterparts.
Absolutely, IDJ! It's a hell of a lot of fun. Games play pretty quickly. Definitely could see myself doing an entire Blackhawks season replay or a couple of seasons of my fictional 10-team league. Games go pretty fast with (fairly) accurate stats, too.
I actually just got Hockey Blast and will be doing that game on the channel shortly. My early first impressions is if you're looking for a quicker play game then SCH is your game. If you're looking for more of a full sim type with individual players influencing the outcome of games then it's Hockey Blast.
I haven’t watched the entire video yet but the only thing holding me back on really loving this is that it appears some of the goals are arbitrarily assigned. I just can’t get passed that. I get why…but for someone I get get passed arbitrarily assigning who scores versus let the goal result from the player. This seems backwards. That’s been one of my few complaints with assists in Strat and APBA. In those games assists come from scoring…but shouldn’t scoring coke from assists. Those are the only hockey games I’ve played. It appears this game works the same but it also appears to do the same thing with goals. I want to be able to get passed that because everything else about the game looks great! Love the combo of quick play with in-depth results.
Hey Kevin! Thanks for watching. I think that's a valid reason not to want the game. However, maybe it'll help you make your decision if I told you that I'm roughly halfway through my 93-94 playoff replay and the goal scorers/assists are pretty darn close to real life. The scoring ranges are based off of the percentage contribution to the team each player made. It turns out to be fairly accurate in the long run. I've also seen alternative charts that separate the players by line and not just top-to-bottom. I haven't tried that chart yet but I hear it's even more realistic.

Thanks Marco, hope you feeling better and bought the game today, I might have to use the iPad app I saved into the adobe cloud bought the game as well and 93-94 season I downloaded that app but it looks like a trial version,, I tried the app adobe fill in snd sign this might work
All I did was download a PDF app (Adobe, or something similar) and then got the scoresheet off of Stone Mountain Press's website. Then used a stylus for stats keeping. Saves a TON of paper and can digitally store every stat sheet.
My favorite sport but it doesnt look remotely near as exciting as the Red, White and Blue racing game so I purchased it instead. Can see alot of winter days and nights ahead rubbing tires and cursing crummy incidents!
