Stone Island dropped their latest collaboration with New Balance earlier this month, this time working together on a 574 Legacy colourway. Utilizing rip stop and shaggy suede, these have an outdoors / trail inspired colour palette, and was sold in limited quantities. Check out my review and let me know what you think of these!

nice review Sean! I really like the 574's, especially the Legacy and Sport models and this is one of the best executions yet. Great details and variation of materials. The ripstop and tongue is beautiful. I have narrow foot size 11 and snug fit like a Samba or Air Max 1.

I noticed the tightness in the toe box also, I swapped insoles and that helped a lot, the insoles that come in the shoe are super thick.

Managed to get these for retail in a physical official Stone island store about an hour after launch. Apparently they had only received 40 pairs in total and I managed to grab the last pair in my tts with only 5 pairs total remaining in stock. Really good that they only allowed 1 pair per person.

Completely agree on the sizing. I was stoked to get my TTS 11 in the mail from NB, only to find they were uncomfortable in the toebox area when I tried them on. Seriously a bummer, as I really did my homework on 574 Legacy sizing prior to purchase. But the quality and materials were A+, so I'll be looking for an 11.5 in the near future.

I just bought a regular 574 prior to getting a tts 8 Legacy version and i can't help but compare that tight toebox on the Legacys to the ultra comfy regular 574s. But I love these shoes, I hope I can break that part in after a few uses.

I love 574s and sometimes have bit of discomfort when i first wear them. But to solve problem i loosened the laces. Because out the box they're sometimes laced extremely tight

Hey Sean, literally think we got the same foot. Im size 10 on the wide side, probably coz I’m flat footed. Length of the shoe is fine, what I did was stuff the toe box with news paper to stretch it out and it’s not so constricting in that area now. I think that’s a better alternative than sizing up and having too much room. I also do this same technique with my 700’s but sticking TTS. Works well.

Dope review. Won these on these the Stone Island site but had them cancelled a few days later. I was fuming but got over it. I was able to get the DTLR 990v3 greyscale (which I prefer over these) yesterday so things worked out.

Not sure why I didn't go for these. They look great and is right up my ally. Almost glad I didn't though because I would have gone TTS. Prices too high to buy now. Hopefully they come down. Otherwise, on to the next one.

Same, Stone Island in general will draw me in but the sneaker is quite basic looking although I will say Sean's on feets always seem to look good.

this pair in my experience, is the one that specifically needs superfeet insoles blue version to save. it releases the pressure from toebox, and offers a lot better cushioning than the originals. well, for the record, this comment is not Ads.

Despite really liking the Stone Island colorway, I didn't try for these at all because they are 574s. I think the silhouette looks good, but sizing and comfort generally isn't the best for me personally.

Dont give up bro, New balance australia initially cancelled my Jjjound 990v4 and after a week My money didnt come back. Tried emailing customer support and after a few days they said they actually confirmed my order. After a little back and forth my pair came around 2 weeks. Very happy with that pair. Hopefully yours can still be saved

As much as I liked the colorway on these I took a pass. I already have both Bodega’s and as much as I like the colors and hairy suede, the comfort on 574’s are so stiff I have to decide if I’m not going to walk so much in them to wear…

Sad too say. To me this NB is just as noncool a sneaker can be. The colorway is nice but for the sake of true sneaker art and crafting that logo represent nothing of it.
