I especially love the carrots and ladybug stones. My almost 3 year old is not very interested in helping in the garden (tips?!?!) but she will LOVE painting stones. Thank you!
What a great video. So nice to see a family enjoying each other's talents. And - what a great idea for a plant marker. Thanks for sharing such a happy message.
I'm gonna start collecting the perfect rocks and do this project over the winter! I have paints and sealer, so I'm set. There's no way I'm *not* doing this!😁
Nature x Art 🌱🎨 This video really takes the “Bob Ross of RU-vid Gardening” comment to another level 😉💫 You’re blessed Gardener Scott - 2 beautiful creative seedlings you have there!
Fun project for the kids! We used indoor/outdoor acrylic paints to paint rocks for outside and they still are looking good from 8 years ago with no sealer. Just have to be sure the paint is made for outdoor use.
That’s a really cool idea for kids and to introduce them into gardening. My fiancé it’s a tattoo artist and we will definitely offer stone painting courses next year in my community garden 😊 Thank you Scott
We paint tiny reddish orange dots on the stems of the zucchini plants and when the moths see it they think there are already vine borer eggs on it and they go in search of other spots~
Dear G.S. Peace and thank you for the videos. If you like "Gardening Australia," and "Gardener's World," I think you will also like "Gardening Together with Diarmuid Gavin". It's like the first two but in Ireland, and he does a lot more with landscaping, which I like.
I would think another benefit of painting strawberry rocks is that if a bird pecks at your strawberries and they often hit rocks they may stop trying to eat your strawberries.
Hello Gardener Scott. Do you have a video to help me figure out the mix of soils (ingredients) I need for my new raised bed. Size is 15feet x 4 feet x 2 feet deep. Thank you
I have a few different videos that discuss soil and how I fill the beds. This is a popular one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iV4DjBZqTXQ.html
Now, I have to ask, because I've seen this as a "hack" on social media- Do the painted strawberries actually deter birds from eating the actual fruit, because they have tried to eat the painted rocks and learned that they can't eat them? I'm really dying to know, because I have had strawberries decimated by birds in the past.
