yeah, they are my number 1 or 2 favorite band ever, and that's exactly why: how versatile they were (and still are, now with Jeff), from heavy stuff in Core or Purle, too beautiful melodies in Tiny Music..or Shangri-la dee daa. The mixture between them Deleo bross, Scott's voice sometimes soft like silk, others powerful and manly and finally Eric's beats were unique and wonderful to hear. The sad part is most people only know "plush", "creep" or "sour girl" or "interstate lovesong', when it's the little gems like "and so I know" what make them remarkable.

@Mariana D'Amelio As much as I want to root for Kretz & the DeLeo's, I've just been far too disappointed in them for carrying on as Stone Temple Pilots, post-Weiland, to even listen once to anything they've done as STP since parting with Scott for the last time. It's too bad they were apparently so put-off from working with Coutts that they've not even considered reviving Talk Show instead. I think incredibly highly of Kretz & the De Leo's, but, them carrying on as STP is just as embarrassing as INXS carrying without Michael Hutchence. I can't be bothered to give it a chance.

STP was my favorite band in high school. I remember buying this album when it came out (had Core and Purple already). Weiland’s voice was unmatched in the rock genre. He could go from a smooth angelic voice to a strong gritty voice. After 4, I moved on to other music, adulthood started, and forgot about STP. Now I’m going back and listening to the songs I loved so much in my younger years, reclaiming the innocence of times past. I just want to say thank you STP and Scott for creating beautiful music for us regular folks to enjoy for a lifetime and beyond.

I want to point out that while David Bowie had the amazing ability of changing musical styles and I respect him for everything he accomplished, he did have the advantage of working with a plethora of musicians and about 5 or 6 different guitarists. STP had that amazing ability too and yet they accomplished it with the same lineup. I consider STP to be one of if not the most versatile band of all time. Truly amazing. Someone unfamiliar with their catalog would believe Sex Type Thing, Big Bang Baby and And So I Know, were all songs recorded by three different bands. Scott's voice was so versatile. STP could never be pinned down into one style of music. I respect that immensely.

This really shows how versatile they are; not many bands have such a varied discography, and that range is something I hope to be able to pull off if and when I hopefully record decent-sounding, actual music.

RIP Scott... you will be forever missed. My dog dog of 15 years is being put to sleep on Thursday, dec 2nd 2021. She’s an amazing soul, like you... and I’m sure you two will get a long. She jumps through hoops, and loves drugs. I promise, you will never miss her, and I won’t either. My tears seal these words..

The Rollercoaster rides a lonely one. I paid a ransome note to stop it from steaming. Hey what are you looking at? She was a teenage girl when she met me. What would you do? What would you do if I followed you? What would you do? If I followed? She turned away what are you looking at? She was a sour girl the day that she met me, the day that she met me...
