@@bluewater3783 i am used to live hier, because i be born here. It is not the worst place to live, yesterday i was with my wife in a Coldplay concert (not my cup of tea) but a great show anywere. My secon place in the world is Munich, i have lived there from 2000 till 2004. A very nice city and the surroundings are very wonderfull

his job is NOT to 'sound like scott' that is really minimizing Jeff, he has HUGE shoes to fill and doesn't need to just be the best imitator he can be!

@@leavemealone8336, you need to be objective about what he really is in the band what his goals are. You're just mixing terms and thoughts but it doesn't make any sense. If he has such "HUGE" shoes to fill, does he do it better imitating scott or not ? That's a starter. Second, if imitating scott is minimizing jeff, then what would not minimize jeff if his job is singing scott's material ? I'm not trying to antagonize you but, please, answer this questions first and really think about you're saying.

Scott's last album Blaster was pretty good considering his condition. We always have the old music, but I'm loving this new STP album.

What about Dean? He is a great musician. He is definitely on of the all-time greatest guitarist. I am in my mid-50'sand I've been writing songs since I was 16. I have been playing guitar since the age of 10 I've been told I'm an excellent song writer and an even better lyricist. In my opinion Dean is phenomenal let me stress that phenomenal he is an amazing guitarist there's no words to put behind his playing and it is writing and I guess for Robert as well Robert plays guitar better than Dean believe it or not they're both big fans of Bossa Nova who was one of the greatest guitar players that ever existed on this planet. Erik Kratz I put them up there with John Bonham they do use Led Zeppelin's Technics recording techniques their so-called Playbook to write and record their music. the big difference between STP and Led Zeppelin Stone Temple Pilots did not steal their songs from old timers writing Blues in the bayous of the Deep South. mind you Led Zeppelin a course is a great band one of the greatest but most of their first three albums for songs taken from other musicians directly Stairway to Heaven was originally written by Band called Spirit In The song is called Taurus that beginning guitar part of Stairway to Heaven was taken from them

@@erikwantuck2831 Yes: Years ago, Ritchie Blackmore joked of Jimmy Page: "He has a LARGE record collection..."--and, by that back-handed compliment, I inferred that Blackmore was implying that Page ripped-off a bunch of his songs from more obscure artists... Opinions, comments???

new guy adds a lot to the band, not everyone will like it. He has a great voice I think. STP is a rock band and fans want to hear them play. The founding members have a right to continue on, they were just as responsible for the sound of the band as Scott was.

with most of their catalog sang by SW it is important that the singer be able to deliver the vocals to those songs.
