Hi guys!
One of you viewers challenged me to do a overnighter with no tools then my wallet,keys and phone. So I did it without using any of it.
I really enjoy in nicer weather and where will be more vids like this.
Hope you guys enjoy in spring and that you are outdoors as well!
Thanks for watching!

Restless nights are for fit, younger men like you. I realize you could easily have improved your basic shelter to provide more protection from wind or weather. Making that friction fire kit with local stone and wood was amazing to see.

Sorry you had jerks interrupting your video, The review of the kit was great. Jerks are all around us from all our different cultures; no need to group all together (the dude comment I made has many different connotations in the US and was a poor choice for me to use)

Simon, HUGE respect to you for pulling off a hand drill fire, and with no tools other than what you made and improvised! For a future video, perhaps you could share any "traditional" tools, woodsman's campfire meals, techniques, etc that are unique to your country or region?

Dude that MRE had drink mix in the bag and a ziplock bag for you water (to mix the drink mix and drink from). WTF?
@angiekrajewski6419
@angiekrajewski6419 6 лет назад
You could have tried you shoe lace or a string or tear a bit of your teeshirt to tie it to a stick and use a tiny bow like to make a fire...instead of using your hands....
@williamshearon4309
@williamshearon4309 4 года назад
You know that MRE came with a heating pack that will cook the food. Just add water and it gets hot as hell.

Water from a running river will give you diarrhea? I’m a class III kayaker & I’ve swallowed a good bit of river water from getting my boat flipped in a current. Never had digestive issues. But, the water was freeeezing glacial melt off.

You did a Hell of a job bubby. If you don't mind a small pointer. When you are cutting the knotch in the pivot point for your fire stick, it's a lot easier to just scrape it against the edge of a sharp rock. Saves you a lot of time and energy. Other than I would've used my shoe string to make a bow drill, you did a damn good job. Love your videos.

You could use clay and filter the water with a hollow piece if wood...after or before..then you could put pine needles in your water to have a flavor and vit c.......you could also put a tall piece of wood a little tree...in the fire..and move it in while it burns...

Great video! Just a thought. Since the MRE pouch survived the hot rocks under the sand, instead of hot rocks inside the pouch, next time dig a hole in the sand then place hot rocks all around the pouch. Then you probably won’t get the stone taste. I would like to have one of those MRE pouches (full or empty) to try that.
