Frozen Head State Park held the 2018 Stonecipher-Kelly Homecoming this year and I got the opportunity to do a blacksmithing demonstration. This was awesome because this house actually belonged to my ancestors and my Mom worked hard to get the house listed as a historic site and worked with Frozen Head State Park on getting the house restored to it's original condition. It's a work in progress, but a really cool thing to see. I forged on top of a pile of coal where they used to keep their coal for their furnace. Also the upstairs had old hand forged hinges on the doors as well. I had a blast and look forward to doing it again next year!
