STONEHENGE, LA MARAVILLA DE PIEDRA
Situado a unos 150 kilómetros al oeste de Londres, Inglaterra, en la hermosa campiña del condado de Wiltshire, Stonehenge es quizás el círculo de piedras antiguo más impresionante del mundo. Más antigua que la Gran Pirámide de Keops y que el Imperio Romano. Algunos estudiosos dicen que su historia data de hace unos 9.000 años.
Yo he estado aquí un par de veces antes, pero esta es la primera vez que tengo la suerte de ver alabadores en el lugar, había oído hablar de ellos, pero nunca los había visto, esta vez sí estuve en el momento indicado. Es interesante cómo algunas personas adoran a dioses "reales" o imaginarios, otros hacen lo mismo con imágenes visibles o invisibles, y todavía hay otros que creen en la divinidad de...rocas.
Por mi parte, estoy convencido de que inteligencias superiores procedentes del espacio exterior fueron las verdaderas creadoras de esta maravilla de piedra. Yo no vengo aquí a adorar a ningún dios, vengo aquí a asombrarme y maravillarme, y de alguna manera a agradecer a los "interestelares" por haber elegido nuestro planeta, y dejarnos una señal de su existencia o algún mensaje aún desconocido para nosotros. ¿tal vez? Espero que sean buenas noticias y no de catástrofes...
Bueno, en ningún lugar mejor que aquí se hace más palpable el viejo refrán español que dice: “Cada loco con su tema”.

STONEHENGE THE STONE WONDER
Located about 150 kilometers west of London, England, in the beautiful countryside of Wiltshire, Stonehenge is perhaps the most impressive ancient stone circle in the world. Older than the Great Pyramid of Cheops and the Roman Empire. Some scholars say its history began about 9,000 years ago.
I have been here a couple of times before, but this is the first time I am lucky enough to see worshipers in the place, I had heard about them, but I had never seen them, this time I was at the right time. It is interesting how some people worship "real" or imaginary gods, others do the same with visible or invisible images, and still some believe in the divinity of...rocks.
As for me, I am convinced that higher intelligences from outer space were the true creators of this stone wonder. I do not come here to worship any god, I come here to be amazed and marvel, and in some way to thank the "interstellars" for having chosen our planet, and leaving us a sign of their existence or some message still unknown to us, may be? I hope it is good news and not catastrophes...
Well, nowhere better than here does the old Spanish saying that says: “Every fool with his own theme” become more palpable.
