Didn't know what to expect from this place as I only had a small amount of info on it ,so me and dob ventured in to the unknown on this explore ...Explored last year with all the undergrowth at its peak we eventually stumbled on what I think was the control ,command room ,radar for the anti aircraft guns .... As for where the gun battery was I believe it to be buried in clay and earth that has been put over the top of them as can be seen in the video .... Was a nice explore and was good to visit this site with dob , which then led us to another explore ...
.info
The remains of a heavy anti-aircraft battery. The control building survives in good condition and three of the battery structures are visible as earthworks on the ground, probably well protected under clay dump. A spread of post medieval rubble to the north of the battery indicates the position of the camp buildings. The aerial photos show four battery structures and evidence of the camp.
EA lidar of this site appears to show four gun positions and a control building as earthworks in the tress on the south edge of the site.
