Stoomlocomotief E2 1040 van de ZLSM | Steam locomotive E2 1040 

De E2 1040 is in 1910 dienst gekomen als E 1040 bij de Zweedse Spoorwegen. De SJ heeft tussen 1908 en 1920 130 stuks van dit type laten bouwen.
De E2 1040 is in 1998 aan gekocht door de ZLSM (Zuid Limburgse Stoom Maatschappij) en werd per spoor vanuit Zweden, via Duitsland, overgebracht naar Simpelveld. Ze werd daarmee de oudste bij de ZLSM in het bestand staande stoomlocomotief.

The E2 1040 entered service in 1910 as E 1040 with the Swedish Railways. The SJ had 130 units of this type built between 1908 and 1920.
The E2 1040 was bought in 1998 by the ZLSM (Dutch Steam association in the South of the Netherlands) and was transferred by rail from Sweden, via Germany, to Simpelveld. She thus became the oldest steam locomotive on file with the ZLSM.
