Thanks for the tips. I have a moster185 and I'm still working the technique for perfect first pull starting. I will make sure I do a less lengthy pull from now on 🤙 Also, the wife says your look like Dr Strange with a funky hair do. Funky in a cool way though 🤙

Your opinion on the best carburetors. I use the walbro. I have rebuilt it 6 times and still won't hit full throttle. Thinking about replacing it.

Check for restriction on the exhaust side.

I hate to be "that guy" but... I've never had one break while trying to crank the motor. I've been through 4 or 5 and each time I've only noticed it AFTER the flight. In my experience, the large spring is shearing in the middle of its coil. I assume from vibration. It may also be helpful to note that if you set it up properly, you can't bottom the starter out if you're pulling it with the motor on your back. (Re-tie the pull handle further out on the rope if necessary) Great video btw! I enjoy these 🤙🤙

I have to agree with this one. I’m very mindful of how I pull start my machines. I have short arms anyway so there’s no way I could over pull it. I’m preloading the cord so as not to be too jerky, and I’ve still had three break on me (not during pulling). I’d gladly sacrifice a little bit of weight to gain some durability
