Question, I read it's more worth to just farm silver for Pen Boss Gear over doing the oquilla piece of the old moon quests. Is that the cause? (Do the quest once for Pen Weapon, then buy the rest of pens)
@@malec8517 I'd do the maths again, iirc when I did it it was only 2 pieces that were worth it, sure the guy will point at the oquilla piece and say "its cheaper" but he's probably counting on you having every single mat, which I didn't have (Mems are twice as much as they were when I did it but I think the pen boss gear is closer to max price nowadays so idk)
"Shai has a massive amount of evasion passives" Shai has literally zero evasion passives. Frankly, she barely even has any evasion actives, spammable +6% for 20s is what she realistically gets without add-ons and very specific debuffs. How challenging is it for NA players to stop giving bad info for one second? No wonder we have so many newbies running around whining that shai is OP and berserker is underpowered.
Yeah, as a shai player I get really confused on what the heck to do. Shais have zero evasion passives, as you said. Moreover, they are a class that is constantly stoping on their steps to play an instrument or heal. More life and more DR just sound better for the class.
@@diego199302 For PvE and meming on people in solo OW PvP / RBF, stick to DR in every slot, it's the cheapest way to get valuable stats. Later, if you plan on playing any scale of mass PvP, get full DP set with focus on evasion. Evasion not because of something shai uniquely does, it's what PA decided to be the only thing to actually function as full DP gear.
7:06 "ash forest is one of the spots in game that benefits from evasion" yeah my deathas sorc doesnt agree with u 😅 i was in evasion and then changed to dr to farm more comfortable (btw every spot i farmed was better in dr than evasion, i mean spots like ash forest, trolls, yzrahid highlands, crypt of resting etc, i tried on sorc and shai), i am rn back to evasion and its a hell to farm, idk what they changed but after the "pvp update" (i mean the death of pvp) i cant farm crypt of resting, i am getting one shot sometimes 🥲 (in evasion)

Yes, skills have multipliers - for example 1670% damage, 5 hits which means each AP point scales insanely...also there are AP bonuses, where the more AP u got, the higher the bonus u get, but it's all in brackets, so if that 3-5 AP helps u reach a new bracket it turns into (maybe) 15 AP, which if you take into account the skill modifiers I mentioned, it's actually big. In addition some spots have mobs with really high DP, to the point where at 301 AP u barely do any damage, while getting a few extra AP points will scale your dmg insanely high. To explain this consider a skill that does 20x regular AP, you might have 900 (hidden AP), if the mob has 895 DP, you deal what...100 damage (20 * (AP-DP))...what happens if you gain 20 AP and have a total of 920? You'll deal 20*25 = 500 damage...so you 5x your damage for only 20 extra AP in that scenario, which can be achieved by reaching a new AP bracket by replacing 1 item and gaining the 3-5 sheet AP u mentioned....ofc the in game scenarios are more complex, but I think this gives u a feeling on what's going on.
