Well what a lot of sellers do is list the tickets with an expected delivery date as far into the future as possible even if they get the ticket earlier. You likely bought a real ticket because the presale yesterday had a lot of people listing up tickets. You just likely paid a lot is all. Tickets are all mobile entry so that makes sense it has to be displayed on your phone. Hopefully you can get something through the general sale!!🤞🏽🤞🏽

For this tour, all tickets (except for VIP) will be mobile tickets, so you should expect to get a mobile ticket transfer request if you buy them from resale websites when the tickets are ready

Many different leagues and teams are moving to this model with direct integration into various resale marketplaces so that every time you buy a ticket it essentially generates a new barcode. The MLB does this on a wide scale and then various venues and teams will also do it. I think it’s great from the fan perspective but there are some downsides as well. But getting 100% safe tickets is 0 downside 😎🎟

Very safe to use Stubhub in general. Just have to be careful when there haven’t been any presales for events and you see listings up. Downsides from the buyer perspective is that you’re just feeding more data to the organization and they can better price their tickets from the beginning. So the good deals you see sometimes may be eliminated more and more, while face values may see an increase due to demand for a particular date/opponent, section etc. From the seller side, a lot of people have experienced this in the NFL with season ticket holders having their accounts cancelled due to reselling activity, even if it’s just a random fan who sold a couple of games a year. Teams are cracking down on this and when tickets are directly integrated into resale marketplaces this can all be tracked by the teams It’s really interesting actually, I have it on my list of topics but I keep pushing it out due to the BTS craze right now 😂 gotta feed that before moving back to stuff I have regularly planned

Yep! Some sellers will list tickets without a section or row, and other times Stubhub doesn’t map a ticket correctly so it won’t display when going through the checkout screen. Once you actually receive your tickets though, it’ll have a section, row and seat number on it 👍🏽

Hello, I bought tickets to see Mariah Carey in Boston in December, 1 day before the pre-sale date (10/5). I paid $374 for two tickets for a total of $749. ( I was given a section but No seat or Row Number) I haven't received the tickets yet, as it says they will be delivered the day before the event. I checked Ticketmaster TODAY now that the tickets are live and seats in the same section are going for $100 less than what I paid for them on StubHub. Should I be worried or does this mean I should be receiving my full ticket soon, as there are still seats available in that section.

You should be more than fine! Screenshot tickets are a very normal delivery method. The tickets you purchased are also covered by the Stubhub fan guarantee so you have nothing to worry about at all 😄🎟🙌🏽 so long as you don’t buy before the first round of presales, all is well

So you only need to worry about speculative/fake tickets when tickets are being sold before they go on sale from the box office. At this point everything should be fine, nothing to worry about. As for buying your tickets through somewhere online, Stubhub and others would be fine to buy them from, though I’m not familiar with the seating map. I just took a look at the venue, looks like balcony 2 is general admission so you can sit anywhere as it will all be open. So all tickets should be equivalent - can just get the cheapest one in that section

If you’re willing to wait and try to risk it, you can try to buy tickets directly from the primary ticket market once people have requested refunds on tickets, that way you won’t need to go through a secondary ticket market. Go to the Harry styles website and tour info and then you can find the direct link to the event from there. Otherwise, can go ahead and buy them online elsewhere. Just make sure you do a bit of price shopping around 😄

Haha tickets bought online will generally have a delivery date SUPER close to the event, especially when tickets are mobile tickets. Most sellers will default the delivery date to as late as possible even though they will likely have tickets in hand before then. Remember that a seller will not be paid for tickets until they deliver them to you, so it’s in their best interest to deliver them sooner than later. I wouldn’t be surprised if they arrived soon after Feb 10 (I’m assuming you’re talking about BTS tickets 😂). If it’s another concert, then don’t worry about the late delivery date. They’ll come on time!

what if it’s the day of concert

If you buy tickets on the day of the concert, normally they’ll be instant delivery or will be mobile transferred to you within the next 2 hours or less

If it’s been postponed, then you will not be able to get a refund based on the current policies. If it gets cancelled, then you definitely will be able to. In the past, Ticketmaster used to offer refunds on postponed and event changes, but they have currently stopped offering this during this time. You will likely (but not guaranteed) be able to get a refund, but just not anytime soon. Potentially in a few months you may be able to get a refund though

Correct. Do not need to buy again. Hold onto the tickets you bought already. Once the new date is announced, those tickets will still work for the new date in the same seats

Generally the payment would need to process when you make the purchase on stubhub, but can take a few days for the transaction to go through. I’m not sure what the process is with Stubhub’s payment process if funds are not available on your card. I would contact their customer service directly to see if they have a more concrete solution. Vivid seats is very reliable. Super sellers pay for the designation on vivid seats but are essentially large volume ticket brokers looking to move inventory faster and that designation helps. You should have no problems with purchasing off there 😁

Delivery dates on tickets are usually set to as far into the future as possible to give the seller enough time to both deliver the tickets themselves, as well as to work with any delivery delays that exist. Normally, tickets are delivered much earlier than the expected date because the seller wants to get paid and they won’t collect their funds until they deliver tickets. Nothing to worry about!

Not necessarily. Technically if they are the purchaser of the ticket through the box office then yes, they would have access to be able to transfer them right away. However, some people have arrangements with other sellers so they may need to wait on others before they can transfer tickets. Other times sellers are just slow/lazy and don’t deliver tickets right away. You will receive your tickets once the seller actually completes the delivery process, but since they have until the expected delivery date, they can simply take their time if they choose to

If you don’t receive the tickets by that date, contact Stubhub and they will attempt to contact the seller to transfer the tickets. If the seller cannot do it, Stubhub will then either find replacement tickets for you that are equivalent (or better) than what you ordered, or they will offer you a refund. If they do offer a refund, be sure to ask for an additional credit to your account for the stress you had to deal with. However, it is very unlikely you’ll need to go through a refund process - you’ll most likely be getting the tickets transferred to you that you purchased. Let me know once you either receive the tickets or if may 10 comes and goes and you don’t receive any tickets

If the event was rescheduled then just confirm with the official venue website that the event was indeed rescheduled to a new date. Any purchases made on Stubhub will stay valid for the newly rescheduled date so I wouldn’t be nervous about that at all :)

I’d focus on Stubhub or Ticket City out of that list. The others are not ones I would generally look to. You may want to also consider looking at: Vivid Seats Seat Geek Tick Pick Gametime You’ll find that a lot of the inventory will be similar across the board, so just take a look and compare prices between them as fee structures are different from each site

The advantage to sell speculative tickets is that they can potentially guarantee a ticket sale at an exorbitant price before presales and general sale take place and have ticket prices come down to real levels. As a result, it’s always in your best interest to never purchase tickets early

So the delivery date is simply the last date they will have to deliver the tickets by. It’s also the default setting when tickets are being listed. You should not have to worry at all once you end up buying your tickets because Stubhub guarantees your purchase once you make it. You will receive your tickets (or even better ones if the seller for whatever reason did not fulfill the order). Tickets are generally delivered before the due date because the seller won’t get paid until they actually deliver the tickets. If the seller didn’t deliver tickets, they get hit with penalties as well as the cost of replacement tickets for you, so you have nothing to worry about in terms of tickets not being delivered. If they find someone else to sell the tickets to, it doesn’t matter because they must deliver the tickets that they have sold on stubhub to you, it’s not like they can back out at all. If you buy the tickets, you’re good to go! 🎟🙌🏽

You should be fine! It’s only a big risk when you buy tickets before the first round of presales or if you’re buying a ticket with a section that doesn’t exist, or a row that says ‘zone’ or ‘tbd’. You should be good to go!

It’s likely they just sold the tickets speculatively. Most likely you should be fine but may find the row could be off slightly. Just be sure to double check against your order once received and contact vivid seats if the tickets are in a worse section than purchased

you can always sell them on a different platform. Stubhub, SeatGeek, TickPick, Vivid Seats etc.As long as the tickets are transferable you can go ahead and list/sell them there

You should have 0 worries with your ticket - Stubhub has a fan protection guarantee should there be any issues. Etickets are common and so you should be good to go!

If Ticketmaster doesn’t open up ticket resale on their platform, then the only way to purchase them will be if they release some additional seats closer to the event date, or you’ll need to buy them elsewhere on another platform

If a concert is cancelled, then yes, you will receive a refund for your purchase. If the event is only postponed though, then you will not likely get a refund. The distinction is key, so be sure to pay close attention ☺️

It’s when the event has been delayed until a future date, but they still expect the event to take place at some point. Depending on how the primary market deals with it, sometimes refunds are issued if you request them, but only if the box office offers refunds to the original purchaser as well. When it is cancelled, then the event will not happen at all anymore, and you will always be able to recover your entire purchase price 😄

For standing GA tickets, the rows actually don’t matter at all. Depending on how the venue issues tickets, they may name the rows differently because of how they actually track the number of tickets available, but they are all the same. Regardless of what the row says, all GA standing tickets are equivalent in the same section. Don’t feel like you need to pay more for a different row, they’re all the same 😄🎟

Just depends on when the seller sets the delivery date normally. However, you can always go to the primary website to get an idea of when tickets are actually going to be available. Many events have delivery delays until much closer to the event (48-72 hours before) so keep that in mind. Also though, even if tickets are available earlier, many sellers will put the latest date possible to give them enough time to deliver even if they are able to send them earlier.

No need to worry other than you likely just overpaid for your ticket. But you’ll be fine since there have been multiple presales that have taken place by now and many listed tickets are in fact actual tickets that buyers have in hand. On the off-chance it was a short sold ticket, I still wouldn’t be too concerned because as prices will come down over time, your seller will still be responsible for filling your order so you will still receive tickets. You may find the row to be a bit off (up to 5 rows difference) but other than that you will be good to go. Just unfortunate the amount you paid but the tickets should still be good to go and your order should be fine as well ☺️

Oh no! So in this case, my guess is you’ll unlikely receive tickets in the same section since replacement tickets are fulfilled based on the best available seats in your section or comparable. You won’t get worse seats than you already have though but you are likely going to end up in different seats than originally purchased. If for whatever reason Stubhub tries to offer you worse seats though (higher row/worse section), make sure you request a credit on your account for the inconvenience as well. Regardless you should ask for a credit tbh. I’m sorry to hear all of this 😢 hope it turns out okay tomorrow morning!!

No seat numbers is very normal on resale marketplaces. It helps to protect the seller from having their seats cancelled when trying to resell them. This is not an indicator of fake tickets. A bigger indicator is tickets being listed in advance of presales, and rows that say ‘zone’ or ‘tbd’. Other than that, you should be fine. It actually means nothing from a buyer perspective. It’s a premium option that Vivid Seats will allow sellers to opt into (for an extra fee) where it lets them post that little disclaimer. From your perspective, it does mean that they are someone who is selling tickets and are willing to pay more to have their listings appear more visible to you. But end of the day you’re protected by their fan guarantee regardless. If you’re deciding between two sets of tickets that are priced very similarly, then yes I would say go ahead and buy those ones. But if you’re deciding between two sets that are very different in price but equal in seating location, I would just select the cheaper option honestly

Stubhub conformations have been very wonky lately with showing strange seat numbers but you’ll be fine, should be receiving your 3 tickets. Ticket transfers through AXS are normal if the box office was managed by AXS. You’ll just need to create an account there with the same email as your Stubhub account and you should be able to access your tickets once they have been sent to you over there

The tickets you receive from a resale site aren’t going to be fake, I meant the video to highlight that purchasing tickets prior to a presale or general sale means you’re more than likely purchasing a ticket that is being listed on speculation (ie they sell it before the presale/general sale of tickets as they don’t officially have a purchase order of the tickets they are selling you). They would then fulfill the order later on, ideally purchasing similar/equivalent tickets from the primary or secondary marketplace and pocket the difference. Just need to be careful when purchasing resale tickets prior to any presales or general sale. There’s obviously tickets that are being listed that are season seats or others, but especially with larger acts, you’re going to run into speculative tickets at the onset

It’s definitely more prevalent for concerts, sporting events it depends but I wouldn’t say it doesn’t happen there either. I suppose once a team schedule is announced you’ll definitely see tickets go up for resale (NFL schedule release is a big one) but many times those are season seat holders selling their tickets, with general sales happening days/weeks later. Concerts may only have a couple of days/hours between announcement and ticket sale but the number of actual seats available on resale marketplaces right after announcement is insane because you generally cannot be a season seat holder to all concerts at a venue (exceptions apply but in much smaller numbers). And the issue isn’t really about receiving fake tickets, but rather purchasing something overpriced before it’s really on sale to the general public. The tickets received should 99.9% be fine and valid, but people are preying on buyers not looking to see when they go on sale from the box office and just assuming spending 3-5x on something before they are even truly on sale is what gets me. As an example right now there’s tons of listings for Bon Jovi out, though the first presale isn’t until tomorrow morning. Watch how prices will fall instantly starting at 10am from Stubhub and other sites as real presale tickets hit the resale marketplace. You’ll also see many listings showing rows in the upper echelons of various sections, allowing spec sellers to fill seats with ease if they do sell early

Tickets available on Stubhub are all good options for you, especially after the event has gone on sale. I trust using Stubhub all the time 😄 bought many tickets through there. The website does show you where you’ll be sitting (section and row) but seat numbers are not required and therefore many listings won’t have them shown exactly. It’s more to protect the sellers. If you want to buy tickets with an EXACT location every time, you can buy them through the Ticketmaster resale platform on ticketmaster, but it isn’t necessary. Another option is to buy on TickPick, I have a link in my description of the video. They show all in pricing and offer no fees to buy tickets. Let me know if there are other questions!

When you purchase tickets, it depends how they are delivered to you. If you purchase mobile tickets, generally you’ll need to accept a transfer through Ticketmaster or AXS. When tickets are received as a direct transfer, it means they are 100% verified as they are coming direct from the box office to you. If you receive PDF tickets or paper tickets, then you unfortunately won’t be able to check with the box office if your barcodes are right or not. However, when buying tickets online you are getting real tickets generally all the time because if they don’t work you can file a claim or get a refund (or get replacement tickets).

There were presales yesterday so people selling them would have them avaialble to sell. Therefore they would very likely be real. Your best bet would still be to try to get them through Ticketmaster, otherwise Stubhub and other resale marketplaces would have them. I would generally avoid those that appear overpriced unless you’re looking for some premium seating (very close to stage). Spend a little bit of time searching before you commit on making a purchase because prices change all the time

My suggestion is to first see if the event is sold out on Ticketmaster, then wait a couple of days before purchasing on Stubhub. Prices are generally the highest right after the on sale date (not always but usually). Gives you time to look around and compare seats, as well as wait for more inventory to hit Stubhub as some people take time before they list

Stubhub and other resale websites won’t show seat numbers very often, so that isn’t something to worry about at all. You should not have any worry or risk from that. I only warn people for buying tickets before the first round of presales (because then you may be buying speculative tickets). You should be more than fine with your purchase, especially because of the Stubhub fan guarantee! You’re gonna get your tickets and have a fantastic time 😄🎟🙌🏽

Looks like the box office has none left anymore. As people requested refunds on tickets, some had become available and were being sold again directly through them for other venues as well. As for if tickets are real or not via Stubhub and others though, I wouldn’t be concerned about them being fake because the biggest risk is only when tickets haven’t yet gone on sale, so they should all be valid. I know some of his stops are GA events so it’s possible the event is selling tickets as GA only, but I am not positive and can’t seem to get info from the box office directly

All the websites I have listed in my links are ones I have used in the past myself both personally and for helping to buy tickets for others as well. I also have used Stubhub, Vivid Seats, and various others as well. The only warning that I made in this specific video is that you shouldn’t be purchasing tickets BEFORE the first round of presales from the box office because those tickets are speculative listings. Once that timeframe has passed, I am perfectly happy to recommend purchasing tickets online through various resale websites, including Stubhub and Tick Pick. The only resale websites I would steer clear from are ones that are using more deceptive selling practices. You can do a quick example of this if you search for tickets on google and you start finding websites that have names that don’t appear to be very trustworthy (ie ones that say boxoffice.venuename etc). Stick to websites that both are clearly resale ticket websites and are marketed as such, and ones that have proper fan guarantees as well. Let me know if you have questions about a specific site you’re looking to purchase from and I can give you a deep dive into them specifically.

The only time you need to worry about that is buying tickets before the first presales take place. A double sold ticket occurs mostly when a seller is listing tickets on two sites at the same time and they sell on both right after each other. If that happens, it’s up to the seller to either cancel the sale immediately or to fulfill the order. If you buy tickets on SeatGeek for The Weeknd, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about because the event has been on sale for a long time already. Nothing on your end you can really do to avoid double sales since it’s a seller problem. From your point of view, your order will be fulfilled as purchased. Buying from SeatGeek is a great place for your tickets and you should have nothing to worry about!

Lots of interesting things going on with you from the sounds of it! It’s possible to make money in the resale game, but much more difficult from a new entrant for sure. Same idea here I would say with the various list groups, ticket drop checkers and random additional seller features. I was looking to eventually make a video about it, just have to wrap up my tax year before I got final numbers though. Will see if it’s ever something I want to do, but it’s def in my list of video ideas! Can you make a livable wage selling tickets? 100%. Would I say it’s doable? Not without capital, patience, and luck. Hard stock tickets are a dying breed, I wouldn’t get too concerned about it. I’m not a fan or buying stuff on CL/private sales, but that’s also not where i find value either. You can run your business a multitude of ways though. Just be careful with those sales, if they seem to be too good to be true, they usually are. Cons with hard tickets are the same ones as before (non official card stock, barcodes not readable/not verifiable, missing various event details, fake sections, etc) Good luck with your resale career!

JB will be tough, don’t expect a lot from it. Depends on location really. BTS will be fine if you get rid of sooner than later

Standard practice is normally to have a delivery delay for tickets being sent 24-48 hours before the event, so that in itself shouldn’t be an issue. Tickets are already transferable for the taylor swift shows so you should hopefully be receiving your tickets sooner than the expected date posted. Stay patient and you should be good to go! Can always contact Stubhub asking for an update as well

When tickets are transferred through Ticketmaster directly, the tickets will be 100% verified and real, they cannot be faked. When you buy tickets through Stubhub, you are protected behind their fan guarantee, so you will be guaranteed to get tickets to the event. If there are any issues with tickets not being transferred/invalid tickets, you would still be eligible for a refund, so there is no risk at all from that point of view. Buying tickets on Stubhub is safe from that point of view 😄🎟

Nope! If the transfer is done through a Ticketmaster transfer, they will be valid tickets. Because Ticketmaster is acting as the main box office ticket distributor, tickets coming from them will always be 100% verified

Since tickets are all mobile tickets for the event, it is physically impossible for someone else to have the same ticket as you once they are transferred through Ticketmaster. In general though, when tickets are transferred through Ticketmaster you will always have 100% verified tickets

There’s nothing wrong with using StubHub, Seat Geek, TickPick, Vivid Seats (got links for most of them in the video description). This video was just to highlight not to purchase tickets before presales and general sales take place. I highly recommend StubHub and vivid seats as a good starting point. When you buy tickets from resale websites, generally tickets will be transferred to you from the original location from where these tickets were purchased from. So if someone sold a ticket on StubHub but they had originally bought the ticket from Ticketmaster, they would transfer the seats from Ticketmaster to you. The whole process is managed by the resale website though and they can help guide you through the process. Clear? Reach out if still confused

You can request it from Ticketmaster/the box office if you bought them from there, but if you bought on a secondary market then you will unlikely be able to get them switched

Once Stubhub confirms the ticket has been transferred to you, you should also receive a confirmation of the ticket transfer from ticketmaster. Once you accept those tickets, you’ll be able to transfer them through Ticketmaster yourself to someone else.

It depends on what delivery method was offered. If they were mobile transfer, you’ll receive an email once they have been transferred to you but will be accessible from your Ticketmaster account on your mobile device. I believe most tickets were mobile delivery only for BTS so that would be the most likely option.

Not new at all, Stubhub and others have had one for years. The main point I highlight in this video is to not purchase tickets prior to any presales on Stubhub because they are often times being listed with the intention of filling an order later, not when tickets are already secured. The protection is in place to provide fans confidence that they will get the tickets they purchase/replacements (or their money back) in case something goes wrong, but it’s still a rough experience sometimes. Overall though purchasing through Stubhub isn’t a bad thing at all, just have to be careful not to purchase before presales take place

Generally you would be fine since all seats in a standing room only event are the same - the only thing I would say is don’t buy tickets before the presales have begun because ticket prices will be at their highest at that point normally (these are generally short sellers). Just wait it out and then go for it after tickets have gone on sale from the box office

I’d avoid them. Their covid policy isn’t very good for cancelled/postponed events. Stick to the major players: Stubhub Vivid Seats Seat Geek Tick Pick

The tickets may have been £80 each, but there is generally always some additional type of transaction or processing fee which makes the tickets more expensive. I know you said you don’t have a confirmation email, but that would normally be where you can review the full receipt. Have you since received an email or are you able to log in to where you purchased your tickets and see your order details/tickets?

I’d definitely recommend waiting closer to the show date before locking in your tickets. Prices should continue to fall as we approach the date

Gametime is very much a reputable and legitimate resale ticket site. The only downside of purchasing a ticket this early is that your seat itself was likely a speculative listing. With that said, your order will still be fulfilled, but don’t be surprised if there is an upgrade in terms of the exact row you receive for your tickets. Gametime does have a solid fan guarantee so you’ll be protected regardless and will receive valid tickets, you just may have potentially paid more than what you needed

You didn’t purchase counterfeit tickets, just speculative tickets. The distinction is different in that counterfeit tickets are seats that you will either receive that won’t let you into the venue or no tickets will be sent at all. Gametime has a fan protection guarantee for all buyers that covers you should the seller either fail to deliver tickets or unable to fulfill tickets as stated during your checkout process. Gametime will do everything in their power to make sure you receive your tickets on time and are valid, and will penalize any sellers that do not fulfill orders. Speculative seats are just ticket listings that are available prior to any tickets actually hitting the open market - the seller is still required to fulfill the order so tickets will be sent to you which will be valid, but you may notice the row may be slightly different than what you purchased. As long as it’s within 5 rows better of your original purchase order then no issue at all as this is within the acceptable upgrade policy for most resale sites 😁

NA in what sense? Generally if there’s no row entered it’ll be listed as N/A (not applicable) but there are certainly some tickets that won’t have rows (especially GA type events). In general tickets on Stubhub should be fine, but when they are listed in advance of presales, then you are likely purchasing speculative listings. As long as you purchase after the general sale has already happened, then you shouldn’t have any issues with illegitimate seats

Great questions! 1) not all seats that are listed will show a seat number on the resale platform. If you purchase it direct from the box office (ie Ticketmaster) they will display the exact seat beforehand, but if you purchase from a resale site, it may or may not as the seller is able to mask (ie hide) their seat numbers. This is completely normal though. Some seats may still display seat numbers on resale sites but it isn’t generally required. 2) it depends on the ticket delivery method. But generally yes you can. If the ticket is a pdf eticket then you can download it as soon as it is available. If they are mobile Tickets’s, you’ll generally be able to get the ticket transferred to you at 1-2 days before the event takes place

Yes exactly! Once you purchase, the seat numbers should become available to you, though they’ll be confirmed once tickets are officially delivered as well

Once you receive your ticket it should have a seat number associated with it (assuming it isn’t GA seating). If it’s GA, then seat numbers don’t matter since it’s a free for all anyway. If you bought a reserved seat though, then it’ll have an exact one once the seller actually transfers over the ticket itself. Don’t worry too much yet, just wait for the ticket to come in and then we can take a look to see if it still doesn’t have an exact seat on it

No issue with them being duplicates, the fact that they are in your account on TM basically means you have legit tickets. If the seller bought them on the 20th it’s possible they listed them as speculative listings, but at this point the sale is complete. Your tickets will be good to go!!

Stubhub has a fan guarantee so your order should be fine. Most tickets are mobile delivery these days and many have delays that only release them up to 48 hours prior to the event taking place so that’s a normal delivery date estimate. Also - delivery dates are just that, estimates. Though in the end you’re always confirmed to receive valid tickets in time for the event. You should have nothing to worry about ☺️

Ticket delivery for this event I believe is 48 hours before the event, so that sounds normal to me. You’ll get your tickets sent/transferred to you once they are available from the seller. I wouldn’t worry at all

In general there’s no such ranking since all orders need to get delivered. The only ranking in terms of most to least risky is just in terms of the time you purchase tickets off a resale site. If you buy tickets BEFORE any presales have taken place, then you may be purchasing speculative listings (and that’s bad since these are tickets that the seller doesn’t even have access to yet). Just make sure you’re only purchasing seats AFTER the first round of presales has taken place
