Another tip from someone’s who’s been playing for a bit: Tech briefly touched on it but make sure to incorporate ki blasts into your fights, then can be setups for combos and super attacks, combo extenders, and even combo breakers if used at the right time

You should be getting ki on combos it’s annoying that you only can get it from charging

Nah it ain’t even that shooting kii blast drains the bar a little much for ki to be the weakest move in dragon ball in general it’s doing a little too much the only time anyone has died for ki spam was from somebody who was significantly weaker oof the game will all be updated soon cause the also got these going into sparking mode way too easy there is absolutely not charge struggle after going into sparking mode it’s dumb lol 😊

One thing to remember is previous games werent online.theres a huge difference in cpu vs real players in predictibility and also lag between what you see/ react to and how long it takes to tranlate over the internet.

The problem I’m having in this game is remembering all these battle mechanics cause when i go into an actual battle I completely forget everything I learn.I also struggling to know what combos inputs There are I can use cause I only seeing myself use just the basic Rush attacks most of the time if there anyone here who can help me I greatly appreciate it.

Go into training mode, change the bot settings to prioritize hitting u with combos and then put both you and the bots hp to max. This is basically gonna put u into an endless battle to make u learn the mechanics of the game. Put bot diff to max too!

You can try only using one combo from your training until you've mastered it before moving unto the next. Also make sure you master the defence mechanics if you're going online

My biggest gripe is that you basically have to play the strongest chars in online play because of stats and health bars, etc. I get it is realistic to the series but for variety it sucks.

The way I deal with the frustration is by not thinking about the other players. I kinda dislike the Dragonball community. Lots of odd toxic dudebros. So all the PvP is essentially just imagined bots to me. I was playing Gogeta SSJ4 yesterday and someone else was playing Beerus. In a PvP point of view the fight would have been absolutely frustrating to some, because they hecking destroyed me. But when viewing the match from an anime view point, it was super hilarious watching Beerus slap the absolute sh*t out of Gogeta and teach him some respect. 😅

yoo bro! i hope you're enjoying the game first and foremost! i think theres actually a lot more depth than we realize right now. i've already seen dash cancel and TOD videos popping up so theres a lot left to be discovered. as far as balance... well the producer of the game himself said that they want you to FEEL like a dragon ball character, weaker characters in the series will feel weaker than the stronger characters in game so take that as you will. but overall i think this is a very fun and enjoyable game whether you're new or a vet! i cant say its competitive atm tho because of that lack of true balance. But how do you truly balance an almost 200 character roster right?

Top tip is ki blast them before they charge or hit power up to the limit type skills trust me nothing feels better than stopping someone whos desperate to go into max because they cant ewin with the hands lol

apparently the names have been switched in this game for z counter and super counter. z counter is the vanish now and super counter is the up + square one. in past tenkaichi games it was the other way around iirc. thats what someone in the comments said at least

Ive got a big problem with doing too many vanishes and I.T attacks... Exactly like you said. Ill finish a combo and have 2 bars when I need 3. Very frustrating aha. I play veryyyy aggressive. I think I need to tone down the dragon dashs and z-dash Btw, what is a z-counter. You tell us what buttons to press but not when to do it or what it does.... Opinions on Combo assist/follow up assist?

I used to play tencachi 3 long time ago I stop playing fighting games for long time I bought this game I like the game in general but the ranked pvp is hard unless you loss so many matches you only face noobs but the game only puts me high rank players I just spam alll the ultra instinct goku powers and waste all my resources

the timing for vanishes and counters are very specific, and revenge counters can only be used if you’re facing your opponent

Been playing since early access.. all I can say is learn your main their is a proficiency level so tells you a lot.. but get a good strat for each character therefore when playing against you know all best possible offensive attacks and defensive thrill throw at you.. practice makes perfect.. I’ll take a couple months offline getting great cuz online ppl are toxic and you need every advantage

Z counter and Super counter are flip flopped in this game. Up + Melee is super counter now, guard is Z counter. idk why they changed the names lol
