A message for your sainted mother: "Here is a new menu substitute for Cole when he complains about roast again-- Monday - beans and weenies Tuesday - two cans of spaghettios fresh out of the can Wednesday - bologna sandwich with carrot stix Thursday - salmon salad sandwich with bones and chips Friday - fish stix and old store bought slaw Saturday - bread and water Sunday - roast." Cole - be good to your Mama. She loves and cooks meals for you which means you don't complain about what what she fixes. There are children in China starving and they wish they had your roast (what's sad about this but this old reprimand is it's probably true). I still love you young Cole. You still put a twinkle in this 68 y.o. woman's eye.

Another great video about how truly hard it is to work a farm. Finally realized you mean pot roast, or a stew, when you talk about not liking roasts. You are one lucky guy cause if you complained about my cooking like that you’d have sure gone without .lol. I am sure your mom would love to be able to skip cooking a meal or two now and again. Thank goodness for your dad. 👍👍❤️❤️🚜🚜

Thank you for the great video. I live in a city, never farmed, but I so appreciate and enjoy watching you and your Dad working together. The drone footage was great to see the layout and end was funny. It reminds me in this crazy out of control world, that there are still honest, hardworking people that live calm and peaceful lives! I'm so happy when I see a new video.

Thank you for posting. Nice to see you and your Dad working together. My Dad (RIP) used to try to teach me as a young teenager. I wanted to hang with my friends. My oldet brother used to try to teach me a little carpentry. I think when the Good Lord asked me if I wanted brains my reply was drains. I do pretty good clearing clogged toilets. :D. All the best to you guys. I'm craving a good Angus burger:)

Hey guys!! I love Sonne farm time. The old Chevvy sounds the business but she's all blow and no go eh? I'd be happy with her just being noisy. When I was taught how to put fences up we used to leave the staples in the wooden posts a little bit away from being driven right home, that way the barbed wire seemed to have a little bit of free play when the critters pushed up against it. I realise though knocking them home would keep the whole fence tight should the little blighters take a fancy to the next field. Cole I love a pot roast, food of the gods, as long as it's got beef in and not that pig stuff. Barbed wire is good for the job but nasty when it decides it wants to tear your flesh open, I have a fantastic facial scar thanks to this. Stay safe you two guys!!! Dave.

The old t-posts are definitely thicker steel. I use the Stay-tuff drill chuck and ties to attach wire to t-posts and the ties are to short to wrap around the old posts.

I've repurposed old(100-145 year old) black locust posts that I found in the barn I own. Couple things I've found out about black locust posts...1)they are really cheap-free and 2)they are harder than re-enforced concrete posts.

Cole I agree, the best way to ruin a roast is cook it in a crock pot. Done on a rotisserie on a charcoal grill they retain their moisture and flavour. They have to be cooked hot and fast to a medium rare for my liking unless they are tough. Then they are just hamburger that hasn’t been processed. Another great video thanks.

I actually put new woven wire around a 10 acre patch by the barn - it’s perfect for new calves so the coyotes can’t get the babies. I thought of all of the woven I’ve ripped out in my life and laughed at the poor sucker who will rip it out in 75 years. In these parts we use hedge tree posts every five and cement them in. The pounder seem easier but they don’t stay put around here.

I have never known a person that didn't like a roast ... if it's cooked right, it is really good. I bet your mom is a really good cook. Especially having 3 sons. that could eat them out of house and home during there growing years..

Unless it was Great-Grandma's cooking. That woman would burn the box the frozen pizza was in and call it "seasoning" (yeah, like 'gut-cramp' seasoning...) and her stew was so bad even the flies wouldn't land on it. Roast slice and make sub lol awesome video's...my receipe for roast is couple bay leafs lay on top and shake of salt and pepper (sometimes worechester sauce) tinfoil or lid on roaster bake 350 degrees low and slow lol til done to your taste enjoy...can bake veggies in around bottom juice or not

Your 98 Chevy needs a new muffler, for sure. If you hate roast, get 2 slices of bread, put sliced roast between the 2 slices of bread, pour bbq sauce on roast and you got beef bbq sandwich.

If you have a machine to put your t-post in the ground, then can you really call it fencing? Lol just kidding. My grandpa doesn’t know such machinery exists. He still makes me use the ol square tubing post driver with bolts welded on as handles from decades ago. Fencing sucks but a man can learn a lot about life while fencing. Keep up the hard work.
