Ram main here. Her corner pressure is supposed to be her strength but I can't practice it because people crumple to the most basic blockstrings shown here, even at celestial. I don't want to be lazy but why bother learning the fancy shit if people refuse to block the basics 🙏
LMAAAOOOOOOO This is exactly why I done did made this video. I just got tired of hearing how carried I was and how you can't play the game against Ram. I appreciate you a Ram main watching even though you didn't need the video lol
I think character specific answers are some of the coolest things. Potemkin's flick, Ino's stroke & Faust tp prc all make me giggle the most in this instance^ Thanks for watching
I too am a lazy ram player but the people must know, we must free ourselves from the oppressive "carried" & "I can't do anything" claims of those who would harm our good names. A hamburger for ramlethal is a hamburger for a friend therefore we must spread the word.
Also good to mention that dashblock is a valid and strong option as well, new Ram players aren't used against people that just dash out of explosion range and then pressing something like 2K on most characters. If you really want to avoid the sword hit depending on what her last button was you can also 6P and low profile the initial hit leaving her at a slight disadvantage. Hope this helps!
absolutely, characters can dash or snag her with forward moving specials can catch lower floor rams by surprise too^ Thanks for the input, hopefully it helps someone (maybe they will lab it too lol)
Few things of note: In the first sequence (c.s > 6h > 236h > 5k), Ram will most often do 2k instead of 5k. The 2k beats 6p and Stun Dipper/Stroke/other such things, as it's 6f startup vs 5k's 7f, hits low so it catches 6ps and other low profiles, and because it's a it leaves a 2f gap for the opponent to move forward, which basically makes dash blocking useless. You also forgot to mention FD, YRC, Deflect Shield and Burst as options vs Ram sword pressure with FD being layer 1. I'd have also pointed out that c.s > 236h > 2k > 66 c.s > ... as another basic Ram string. This string beats all of the same this as the c.s > 5h > 236h > 2k string, but the 2k also catches jumps after the 236h. All in all, a solid video that contains useful info. Well done.
Not covering the rest of system mechanics was a massive misstep imo (oops) by the time I realized I hadn't included them I had to move on and was like "whelp 😐" Thanks for watching and your thought out input^
As a lower level Ram main, I would totally send this to my buddies, but they have this insistence on pressing buttons in the corner. They aren't at the point to even consider the power of not pressing a button at all, so they keep eating CH 6H or Sword toss and its a little frustrating because I can't improve if I dont have to work to open up their defense.
Give in to the dark side and doooooo iiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. Also yes it's extremely difficult to put new things in practice if your practice buddies never adapt or try to. I'm going to shill a little, it MIGHT be worth it to you to join my discord. It's not all ggst players but we have a solid core of fgc people ranging in skill level and most people are down to play (so far everyone is also nice/helpful)
You're welcome! Remember a burger for Ram is a burger for a friend so be sure to pass along some knowledge if you can to someone down the road! Thanks for watching!
Yeah not covering that, yrc or drive parry was a misstep. Originally I didn't include them because "the people who need this video don't use system mechanics anyway and I don't want to overload them" BUT after the fact and looking back I should have covered it anyway. Next time and thank you for the feedback!
I already knew how to counter this as a Ky main, but it's nice to see. (PS. Keep throwing swords and I will merge my elbow with your chin like it's a shitty mobile game)
I think the funniest sword callout I've been subject to was eating a j.D ch combo from a Ky because I was being HELLA lazy and slow. Appreciate you for watching even though you have the education already:3
@@theluckytempest Unfortunately, I have no idea what tech you are talking about can help in this scenario as I'm a lazy Bed main who has barely ever labbed.
