Should I trade DK, Dalvin Cook, and the 1.04 for JJ? My receivers at that point would be JJ, Amon Ra, and Chase, with Jamo, Gabe Davis, E Moore, Isaiah Hodgins, and Nico Collins on the bench. 1 QB, 8 team league. I also have the 1.01 (Bijan) and the 1.03 (hopefully JSN). My other RBs are KW3, Breece, Rhamondre, K Herbert, Allgeier, and R White
I wish I watched this before I started last year. I straight up traded all my draft picks trying to go win now and now I’m realizing that was the biggest mistake
My league uses the KTC calculator exclusively. We use it as a tool for managers to help understand the value of their players, but we don't let that dictate our moves. According to the calculator, ya win some, ya lose some, but at the end of the day you pay what you're comfortable paying to go get your guy.
Alot of people liked KTC cause it's the simplest and most popular but it has major issues. It's terrible at trades involving major differences in player values. You could offer the WR20, WR30, and WR40 for the WR3 and it'll suggest you take the package side. It's also terrible at draft pick valuation thinking that the gap between the 1.01 and 1.02 is just a late 3rd round pick. Go look it up that's what it actually says right now. When in reality you're getting laughed at if you come to the table with anything less than the 1.02 & 1.08 in value for the 1.01
In start 8 1QB 0.5ppr, what players would you prefer to Bijan? I imagine not many in those settings. 1.01 owner is looking to trade out for WR. WRs are expensive in this league but I have Lamb, Higgins, London, Hollywood, 1.02, 1.12.
A few leagues I have #2 or #3, pick I'm already locked at QB, and the teams in front of me need QB's in the worst way but I bet they all take Robinson at 1 or 2. I have no issue trying to trade back, or taking another QB and cornering the market in my league. I have 1 league with Justin Fields, Justin Herbert, Kyler Murray and Kenny Pickett. Teams offer me every off-season for a QB and want a discount lol.
@@DynastyLeagueFootball definitely not young ones lol. Guy has been trying to get Murray for 2 years and only ever wants to offer a late 1st round pick.
Omg I love this take. I fade RB all the time. And I know Breece Hall and Bijan have been the chalk 1.01 the 2 past years but WHY. Trade that first for 2 more 1st. So everyone who drafted breece hall last year got a RB #1 for half a year on a notoriously bad managed and just simply bad team. But he did what all RBs do. Got hurt. Might not play the first game of next year. Where as last year you could have traded back probbly got a 1.03 and a 1.06-1.08 I just got the 1.03, 1.08 and J.K. Dobbins for the 1.01 and Ekler ,yes I moved ekler but im not a fan of ekler he thrives off a bad offensive scheme that is about to get overhauled because they got an awesome QB but dont know how to use him and with Greg roman out of Baltimore I took the chance on Dobbins youth and got the 1.03 and 1.08 as well and yes I still lost some value but I don't have time to counter back and forth. My league mates know if put a trade out im ready to roll it's good and bad sometimes but it also keeps other owners in your league from shopping the players or picks your offering before they even own them. Pro tip- if an owner views your trade but does not respond in text or counter or decline I guarantee that owner is asking around in the league to at least 1 other owner about a player you have offered.Dont give them that opportunity. Cancel the trade and send to someone else eventually they will figure out not to try and shop your trade offers . So back to the point, the players I pick with the 2 picks will be players who start right away. Now I have 2 rookie players and I can keep 1 and nine times out of ten move one of them for another 1st next year.. So in 2 years I get 3 firsts out of 1 pick who is a RB who most likely misses 1/3 of the games played in those 2 years where WR and QB's are less likely to get hurt. Great video. Name of the game is WR you hit it right on the head.
I set my lineup in the offseason, just so I can see what holes I potentially have. I also just traded Javonte for Najee straight up. I don't see Javonte having much impact if he even plays this year much like Dobbins, and my other RB is Hall, so who knows what his usage will be at the start of the season.
Hall is supposedly going to be ready at camp, and is far ahead of schedule in his recovery, in addition to his specific injury being far less disastrous than javontes! I love hall and think once he can get it all going again he can be good as new ! I def think the jets put a bulk of the carries early on in 23’ to MC and bam or whoever they bring on to help while he gets back to speed, and allow him to fully heal. I’m excited and looking forward since he’s an uncapped talent
@Camden Garfeld I expect Hall to be on the field week 1, but I don't know if the Jets slowly work him back or go full speed ahead. I imagine if they're smart, they will take it slow the first week or two, but it is the Jets. Guessing what they'll do is hazardous to one's health.
Just traded the 1.01 and lance for Lamar and Dionte Then in another league traded 1.01,1.07 and 1.10 for J Allen. Use bijian as a piece for an elite qb I say. In what world does bijians value ever gets higher than what it already is?
@@ethanrice7528 cheers boss. Been smashing some other trades like sending my 23 1sts which are 10-12 to middling teams for their 24 1sts straight up. Just banking on them to fall apart and they become early to mid next year in a better class.
10 team start 12, superflex, 2 TEs 6pt passing touchdown, regular ppr, no TE prem. Best assets are Chase, Andrews, Breece Hall. QBs are Russ, Jimmy G, Lance, and Purdy. Have 1.01, 1.03, 1.04, 1.07, 1.09, and 1.10. No 23 2nds but I have 2 24 1sts and 2nds. What would you add to the 1.01 for Burrow? Is the 1.01 and 1.04 too much for Burrow?
This is my first dynasty offseason. I'm looking to trade up in the rookie draft so I was wondering if I should try to do that now, before the NFL combine and draft. How much will the price of picks increase from now until then?
That’s a great question. They will definitely get more expensive after the Combine because that’s when rookies are on everyone’s minds at full force before the draft. Depending on how far up you want to go, it probably is best to try that now.
Don't let winning a trade become more important to winning the league. I offered McKinnon up for for a 2nd round pick to all of the playoff teams last year, five people rejected and the last person accepted. He went on to win the championship with him for giving up the 2.12.
You really can't emphasize the draft pick rule enough. They are the only asset on your team guaranteed to increase in value over time. Also rookie drafting is the most fun part of the entire dynasty process. I'm not lying when I say I'd rather have control over the 1.01 then limp into the playoffs as a low seed and see what happens.
In startup drafts do I pick for value when I’ve got a solid RB on the board, or do I reach for a less talented reciever knowing he will last longer. I feel that you still have to draft for value even when you know RB’s won’t last very long
Trade Trey Lance for the 1.06 in SF? Worried about him losing his job. Just won a championship but my team is pretty old. Would be nice to get Quentin Johnston/JSN
That's not enough for JSN in a 1QB league. I also really don't like trading STUDS for just rookie picks because all the risk is on the side you're getting.
I’m in a SF. I’m building around Kyler Murray, Breece Hall, Waddle and Tee Higgins. (I also have 2 2024 1sts and 3 2024 2nds). I was thinking about offering the 2023 1.10 and Calvin Ridley for Chris Olave. Thoughts?
I have a draft question. I currently have Ceedee, London, and Metcalf, as my reciever core, Jonothan taylor, and Justin fields. It is a 2 QB Superflex league, and i don't have much for a 2nd qb (jordan love). I have the 1.01 this rookie draft, should I snag Bijan, or should I trade back for a qb or trade straight up for a qb?
I would try to trade back to the 1.03 and get at least a 24 1st in addition for the 1.01. Or you can try to package the 1.01 with something to try and land one of the top QB’s: Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Hurts, or Herbert.
I'm pretty new to dynasty and may have made the mistake of building around RB taking the 1.01 at the 2.2 and Kenneth Walker in the 3rd. I got Ceedee in the first and have Tee Higgins now too.
You haven’t fallen yet, you have Lamb and Higgins! What I would do though is continue taking young WRs, maybe sprinkle a Keenan or a Lockett in there a bit later too to try to compete this year, but you haven’t made the mistake yet!
I've got the 1.01 and 1.02, I have a strong need at QB in a superflex league (my only QBs now are Brock Purdy and Sam Darnold 😭), should I trade the 1.01 for assets or keep both and get the QB of my choosing and Bijan?
@@brockduncan2269 I’m solid at RB, with CMC, Barkley, Najee, Swift, and some guys. Could use the TE help with Waller, Everett, Higbee as main options. I’d be trading Swift to my main competition however.
Depends on your league but most dynasty leagues have deep benches, which makes acquiring sustainable talent off the waiver wire very difficult. Might happen every once and a while but not something you can depend on like future picks or potential trades.
You know, ever since the marriage rate in Kentucky started falling since 1999, the number of people who drown after falling out of a boat has decreased too… makes you think…
