Thanks for this it's very helpful for a fisherman not comfortable fishing marinas and flooded brush. In general I don't boat fish much but when I do I'll remember.

A good thing to do with the figure-8 is to not just swish it around at the surface, but also periodically your rod deeper during the maneuver & often that change in depth will trigger the follow-up bite. (trick from musky & pike anglers who invented the move)

It's still 105°..... HAHAHA 😆 it was 41° this morning in Chicago. You AZ folk got jokes talking about fall weather! 🤣 I didn't learn anything other than fish the moment and buy less random baits, bring a parabolic rod, bring a jig, and a pack of craws. 🤣
