Get you some extra ANIMATION INSPIRATION from these fantastic channels: www.youtube.com/@rudepanda8300 www.youtube.com/@Guldies www.youtube.com/@Pongowl www.youtube.com/@brixcinematix
I just discovered your channel and I'm a fellow Stopmotion/animator ( teaching to kids), and I find your past and current works inspiring & very helpful techniques
Not here to argue at all, but there is a definite charm to those videos too though. The overall diversity, talent and personality makes this channel unique. The recognition of the upped quality is deserved, hope you will just make creative projects that can still include those topics like the photograph stencils and stuff too if the inspiration strikes you. Best of luck
Thanks so much! :D I regret not mentioning "smear frame"! It's not one I default to but I think I see more people use that term vs. "motion blur", so I'm gonna incorporate it now. :) Thank you again!
11:31 this really show the genius and attention to detail behind these videos. When he says "to keep everything starting with an 'r'." the audio goes to the right channel only. Beautiful.
I love when people point these things out so he knows that his effort does not go unnoticed. This kind of appreciation is so validating for me when it comes to things I make, so I can only imagine how much Crafsman appreciates it as well
I absolutely love how you put the puppets reflection in that shiney thing, you think of everything! There's nothing better than a crafsman video to make a day happy 😊
You are so welcome! But thank YOU for inspiring me and others! I know it's not always easy to stop and think "I need to capture some behind-the-scenes of this." and actually break away from the task at hand to document it... but it's so neat to see, and encouraging to us DIY folks! So thank you again! :D
In the 7th grade I went to a church retreat and John Reuben was the musical guest. I don’t know how he ended up in this video as a model for your work, but that’s the kind of goofball left-field stuff that makes me love this channel.
Dang, Crafsman! Made me want to do more stop motion sooner than later. I wonder how Stickybones would look in a hand knit outfit? Could I make it look like Stickybones was knitting?!
CrafsMan you are too hard on yourself. You keep saying this animation is "okay" or "could be better" but honestly it looks amazing! I take my hat off to anyone even attempting stop motion let alone make it look as good as you do. You are doing some really impressive work and have definitely leveled up your skill level. Don't beat yourself up and instead appreciate your growth brother.
Today was a long hard day only two weeks into a long hard two months. I don’t know how you always know to be there when we need you most, Crafsman, but we’re very fortunate you do. ❤
:D THANK YOU for hangin’ with me! Seriously, I appreciate the continued enthusiasm despite the video sparse-nicity! :) Crafsman has a feeling we might be fixin to get back in the swing. ;)
I'm glad to see that you've been keeping up with your passion, and I sincerely hope that you can one day find a perfect balance between crafting for the channel and pursuing more animated projects.
Hey Craftsman this video was ace! I’m glad your having fun and have lots cookin in da oven. Honestly the production on this was outstanding. Much love big dawg.
But really, what is John Reuben dippity doin? Man, that’s as much a throw back for me as some of your classic action figures. Also, amazing job explaining all of this!
11:46 Thank you for showing this! I make stop motion and I think it looks fine, but then I put it in an editor and then RU-vid compresses the quality so all the hard work looks bad sometimes. It's helpful that you show how you really can fix it in post (some times) cheers!
You are such an amazing animator! I love these tricks, so very useful. Very cool video... everything looks so good, like candy! Mmmmmm... candy. Excellent work my friend!
Love you, Crafsman ! Funny you reviewed/used "Stickybones" ! I keep getting ads for them, and while I was interested, the cost made it prohibitive! Plus, I tend to do more animal sculpture, so, would already have bought it, had it been an animal ! Entertaining video. Might have to do animation one of these days !
You know, pretty safe to say some artists inside Disney studio know your work. If anyone was to get permission, might as well be you (when the time comes).
Super interesting and chill video to watch about stop motion production. Will remember your advices when animating my next projects ! Also you got a new sub ;)
No shame in taking care of stuff in post production. After all, as our friend once said, "The worlds gone crazy. In post we're gonna fix it. Throw on ya' leather pants. Get post apocalyptic." Thanks for another great video. I might have to learn how to use my fancy phone and do some of this. I mean hey, I did a little (silent) project with a video camera from 1999 by recording and hitting the pause button with each position change, and hoping it wasn't too much of a strain on the video tape. This method has GOT to be easier!
TRAVIS! Mannn, I've been there with the VHS "animation"! :D This brings back some fond (and sometimes frustrating) memories! :) Honestly, shooting on 8mm film was easier than VHS, but the tradeoff is... had to send the film away for developing before knowing if it was even exposed right. LOL! So neat hearing from someone else who's actually done animation on a camcorder! Thanks for watching!
Hey CrafsMan, will you ever release your toys in large quantities? Like the Free range chicken, the Frog guy, "Settle Down", and your cool robots? I'd like to add them to my collection. :) Great videos!
Hey Shawn! First, thank you for watching, and for asking about the figures! The Pocketnaut should be the first figure we can actually keep in production, whereas with the Free-Range Chicken, Mail Snail, and AGUA, they were resin figures released in small batches, so we were doing good to make up a couple hundred. Injection molding is a whole different ballgame in terms of capacity, AND it winds up being a much much tougher part/figure. :D
Oh lord thank you man. My favourite youtuber on stop frame animation. This really helps a lot when you alredy stepped in like me and did struggle with similar problems. I threw it in the corner multiple times because of it. I already knew it won't be easy but the hardness struck me odd way more than expected. Make more about it, we'll watch ya! Btw. do ya know an approach to use cloth directly on sticky bones or similar that looks well when animated?
Very excited about the PocketNaut, and you getting back to figure RnD, Crafsman. Aside from the impeccable, fantastic movie-quality animation you've got going, can't wait to see what characters you've got up your sleeve. Shoutout AGUA💧 & 🚀 CHICKEN🐔
There is a 3rd party GI Joe video game (Allegiance) floating around on YT that looks amazing and also seems to be shut down already.. People don't mess around these days.
Hey CrafsMan! Very nice and inspiring work you do here! Can you pls help me find the best metal armatures for stop-motion? I've tried kineticarmatures but they don't have much in stock right now. Thank you very much for all your work ❤
