This stop-motion review gimmick is so good I don't know why everyone doesn't do it. (Remembers time constraints are a thing.)

Funny how for all of the characters on the roster, the tiny bird that turns into a cassette tape is the most productive. Edit: All the skits in this have me just in tears! There's so many subtle details that just add to the hilarity of it that I can't name them all. I just gotta say, you do an amazing job on these man.

Interesting customization. I agree with you on the fembots, dunno why they have to all look like that. Thankfully we do get some variety in Strika, Strongarm, Clobber etc

Honestly, I find the complaint that they aren't exactly like what they are in the G1 cartoon a very weak complaint, especially in the case of Nightbird. Hasbro been trying for years to retroactively turn Nightbird into a Cybertronian, and there's more interpretations of G1 beyond the cartoon. I'm pretty sure Hasbro is the one that can determine what a niche character is supposed to be in their own franchise. And even if you ignore that, this is still a non-issue, because you're still getting a pretty good Transformers toy out of it, and complaining about how a Transformers figure can transform is just mind-bogling. I guess my bottom line is that character reinventions happen all the time, and sometimes for the better.

I'm happy to see Nightbird adopted as a full Transformer, I always wondered what she'd turn into if she did Transform. Hopefully further iterations improve on the concept.

Considering we have the Transformers R.E.D line recently revealed, we need a nightbird and alpha trion release for the generations collection through that line

Speaking as someone who does have the Arcee retool from a few years back, I can say that it's definitely better than the Siege in terms of posability and out-of-the-box accuracy. It even has the sai for her arms! Obviously the transforming part makes it inaccurate, but it's all-in-all it's a very good figure

The entire season 3 cast has been successfully updated

My biggest issue with this engineering is that they keep the huge backpack BUT NOT the combination ability WHICH WAS THE REASON THEY HAD THAT KIBBLE TO BEGIN WITH

Looking back It feels weird seeing all the compromises we had to make in those early siege days since er wheeljack, 86 Jazz or hell, even er optimus didnt even exist yet Those old Prime wars trilogy figures, no matter how bad they were, were are only options way back when

I agree completely about Nightbird. I'd totally be down for just a flat one-off 'action figure' representation of the character. It'll never happen though. I think the only reason we even get a Nightbird at all is because HasTak loves recolors.

I’d agree with you about Nightbird not transforming, if this wasn’t a mainline figure. To most hardcore genwunners, it’s not a transformer if it doesn’t transform. That’s just my two cents, enjoyed the video and I love your content.

I have to admit, you’ve made me want to buy moonracer and do the same modifications. I may also want to mod Chromia to have a better alt mode I hate the huge backpack on Chromia, but I am impressed that they made it weigh less than the POTP Moonracer design. I still prefer the IDW/prime arcee retool Chromia. I modded the back window piece to come off and be a shield so it’s useful kibble at least. It’s a shame that Arcee seems to be cursed. I had to laugh and cry at the fact that we were shown THREE new Arcees recently and all of them have enormous backpacks. The fact that the Earthrise one comes off as a giant flat piece that can be used as a stand is one of those “everything wrong in one picture” moments. Also everyone (even the 3ps) keep making her with a smooth sexy lower body when she definitely was drawn with a trapezoid. There were four sides. It looks so wrong to see the square ass chest plate and then sexy smooth tummy and pelvis with v lines and butt cheeks.

Since this Nightbird is Cybertronian in origin, I like to think that she is the accomplice to Barricade much like how Dropkick was to Shatter. In my cannon, Barricade is the manipulative mastermind who plans out hits on autobot targets while Nightbird is his right hand partner, a brutal enforcer and an assassin who employs twisted and gruesome tactics to get her prisoners to talk.

Generations Selects is one of my favorite toylines, even though I only have Bug Bite. He’s just so good! Greasepit and Exhaust look great as well.

While I don't mind the Fem Bots, I wholeheartedly agree with you about their Anatomy. What was even more confusing was at the beginning of the 86 movie on that first planet that Unicron devoured, there were male and female robots, along with children robots, and elderly robots, some of them sporting metal beards. I can never figure it out.
