Stop Motion using the Rubik's Cube, prepared for the chair of Project 6 - Animation, the Graphic Design course at UNIJUÍ - Brazil, second half of 2010, by student Tiago N. Oliveira.
The proposal was to use the cubes to make the famous game: Snake.
Animação em Stop Motion usando os Rubik's Cube (cubo mágico), elaborada para a cadeira de Projeto 6 - Animação, do curso de Design Gráfico, da Universidade Regional do Noroeste do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul (UNIJUÍ), segundo semestre de 2010, pelo aluno Tiago N. Oliveira.
A proposta foi usar os cubos para fazer o famoso joguinho Snake.

+SILVERGENY not that time consuming - they just used white stickerless rubics cubes and dry erase markers.

It looks more like it's digitally colored-keyed since they're all white at the start. It wouldn't be hard to just swap the color white for blue or orange in a film program like Adobe Premiere Pro. That would explain why the table turns gray at 00:48 and it would also explain the "white around the blue" especially given that some "white" appears exactly the same for an individual square although the entire cube changes pattern when it transitions from one shot to the next.

Its easy. He just put a lot of blue paper and just rearranged it. He does not rotate the cube in any way( except the orange part i think) now dont tell me to do it myself just because i say its easy.

Guys! This works with any video! First, pause your video (Preferably in the very dead middle of it) (And after watching). Then, press all of your arrow keys at the same time to play snake in the video screen (you may have to press the arrow keys more than once) (It does not always work the first time)

The cubes are moving only every a bunch of frames. I'm sure they just copied many different frames with white faces over and over, and then colored only the faces they needed with some software. I can't blame them, making this video by really solving cubes would be really crazy!

Yes you can....... in some versions. In those versions you can go through walls. If you ever had a old Nokia phone in bout 2004 or 2005 you could play Snake and go through walls. Oh back in those days.
