I started doing this a few years ago. Sometimes I would even run my lawn mower as late as December. But after all that my lawn looks just as green if not better than my neighbors who bag their leaves and hire people to fertilize their lawn.
Well presented vid. One drawback that I heard about fall tree leaf mulching is that the mulched up leaves may not break down in the cool temps of fall or over the winter.
Totally agree with vid. One time to not mulch IMO- I have Maple trees. Common maple blight is tar spot. Tar Spot is a cycle from leaves back to the tree when the tree has tar spot - thus cleaning up the leaves thoroughly stops the cycle. If there are more sycamores or maples not being managed nearby out of your management… its hopeless 😂
What about pine needles? I have some huge old pine trees that dump a blanket of needles. With leaves it's a mess every fall. I rake them all because it's just easier.
