Fashion designer Jatin Malik, started his label from his guest bedroom apartment in Noida. Launching his brand with minimal funds, he leveraged the power of social media. Jatin asserts it’s a level playing field-an arena where authenticity stands out.
"When I was working and went to meetings, all I could think about was what I’d wear. I couldn't breathe if I weren’t doing something in fashion.”. His corporate job stifled his creativity; his boss even asked him to "tone down" his bold fashion sense. But instead of conforming, Jatin did the unexpected. He took a loan from a friend and launched his collection.
He says, "I want to see a JMC bride in a teal lehenga.”. His vision isn’t shackled by traditional bridal wear norms. Jatin’s advice for aspiring designers? "Stop running after money and start providing value.
