RIP I USED TO DO THIS ALL THE TIME!!! I used to be SO reliant on other people to tell me I'm smart, worthy of love, etc etc. It wasn't until I learned self validation where I had better relationships and friendships!

Validation is tempting. Our minds/hearts can crave to hear/feel something. But it’s important to have ourselves be that source we go to when we need reassurance 💖

we all need to love ourselves for ourselves. yes it is a trap because you’re not being the person that you are. yes people do abuse power daily affirmations are super helpful when self evaluating. yes it is necessary! yes it does come from within yourself. PUT YOURSELF FIRST

This was such a great topic, Kari! You always come up with such helpful, inspiring advice for us! :) I love your advice about knowing your self-worth and not seeking validation from other people. It's so true that at the end of the day, the only person who knows what we're worth is ourselves :) I love that piece of advice, and I'm going to keep that in mind moving forward.

Relying on others opinions of us is definitely a toxic cycle. When we hear what we want- that becomes what we rely on to be happy. And when we hear what we didn’t want to hear- we start thinking that’s the truth. It breaks my heart that people live day to day like this 💔. They are worth way more than that!!
