Oh man, this is the exact comparison I was looking for! At first i thought the LT-Pro 2.0 was the one I wanted, just because it looked more comfortable, and I just like the design a bit better. But after watching your video, i think i'll go with the HD4000 because of the better hose, adjustable pressure, wand storage, measuring cup, and separate handle that isn't part of the lid/cap. Thanks for your detailed review!
I have the HD.. The wand absolutely sucks. Besides that a great sprayer. The other advantage of the HD is you hand carry it by a permanent handle not the fill port cover. I was hand carrying a Chapin backpack sprayer by the handle just like the LT-PRO and the lid decided to come off while walking from the outside water spigot to the trailer across the yard. I guess 3 gallons of water and 8 ounces RM43 was too heavy for the plastic threads. Yep you guessed it the unit crashed to ground spilling about 80% of the solution in the yard. Only good thing was it was my yard and not clients. That's what drove me to buying the Petra HD.
I’ve not had any issues with the LT Pro wands, hopefully my luck is the same with the HD! And the issue you speak of happened to me with another brand name sprayer! The dang handle on the cap broke and there everything went…all over the ground ugh!!! Thanks for your feedback
I really need to get a better sprayer. I keep buying the cheap hand pump ones. I mainly use mine for putting chemical on decks and houses to power wash.
Just got the Petra HD4000 and it has plenty of PSI. The wand is good as long as you put together the compression fit O-Ring part of the wand correctly. I am 6’3” tall so I like the telescoping wand (because I am lazy and don’t want to bend over). I do have a question about the nozzles. I have tried all of the nozzles but have concerns as to possible overspray killing too much when spraying a fence line. I tested with the toggle switch off and the pressure knob as low as possible. Does anyone have any recommendations on which nozzle they prefer for fence lines?
I've always leaned towards towards the adjustable brass nozzles. They're my go-to for everything pretty much. When I spray fence lines I make sure to do so swiftly as to not get too much material down that can lead to leaching. Thanks for tuning in Greg and enjoy that HD4000 !!
@@mithgo_outdoor Het Mitchell, I have the 2.0 and love it. Just wanted to point out that the 2.0 does in fact have a wand holder molded into the handle on the top of the lid. I had to dremel mine out a little to help the wand fit in it more snuggly
@@mithgo_outdoor people in the softwash/house washing business apply a lot of bleach (sodium hypocrite)( SH) at a 1.5% to 6% strength, and some have posted photos on a business forum of the damage that was done to them by a leaking backpack sprayer, and it's HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED. The same, of course, for acid solutions. Small hand held sprayers ARE used for applying solutions on small areas and test spots, to test the effectiveness and possible damage to the different surfaces that they are trying to clean. The same solutions are also applied at 5 to 15 gallons per minute through a pump (electric, gas,or compressed air) and and a few 100 feet of hose.
@@ronjclm8590 I have ZERO experience with either and make no claims to. I spray only for weed control and nothing else. My statement about acid/bleach solution is merely from Petra Tools advertisement of the product.
@@mithgo_outdoor I understand that. If Petra sees this, perhaps they'll add a disclaimer, recommending that it should be carried, or strapped to a hand truck when used to apply caustic materials. Plenty of people on different industry forums give...not the best, or most complete advice. Some newbies will also sell you a course to grow your business, while they have only 6 months experience. And I've spoken to people with 25 years of experience that do things TOTALLY wrong according to today's common procedures.
The one on the left looks identical to the one Solution Pest and lawn sells here in Houston And the cashier himself told me not to buy it cuz it’s junk I’ve gone through Flowzone, E-Birchmier, Tomahawk Electdric (garbage) Now I’m trying Ryobi but the hose failed immediately so gotta switch out the hose and see if the backpack itself is good
