Video about boxers injuries, and how to avoid them. I had always problems with my lower back. Sometimes more, sometimes it's ok for a long time. And also my right elbow hurts. Im now 37 and I can take time off when i have to, but when i was young it was hard to skip training when got little pain here and there.
That was yesterday's classic. These days you feint the left, feint the right, then a kick straight to the nutsack. Works on my 90 year old granddad every time. But he's blind.
Pro boxer here, if you're getting into boxing or want to step your game up listen to this man! I've listened to a a lot of trainers and most don't know shit, but this man KNOWS whats he's talking about.
I started boxing 5 months ago, I'm 21. Thanks for all the tips you give me, I don't want to fight in official bouts, but only sparring. Love your videos, they're so useful.
Yes we all can see you put alot of effort and thought, and humour into your videos! That's why we never miss out on one, and are Always behind you!!! Thanks T!☺️👍
For such a small place, England has such a huge variation of accents. Most of them are vastly different. America is way bigger, but the accents aren’t anywhere near as varied.
Correct. London alone has 3 accents .... in a way. Posh - Spoken by the Royal family and usually upperclass, Cockney - Which is what most london men sound like the “ You alright mate “ etc etc, and lastly Common - Which is spoken by people like Anthony Joshua , Myself , KSI , common is usually a mixture of slang and spoken by most people who come from the lower class areas , but the funny thing is , to people who arent from london all 3 of these sound posh and you can always find all of those accents in every type of area in london. Lastly , if you dont hear these 3 accents then they’re most likely not from london , People who arent from london actually sound more like irish and scottish because they just live closer to those countries , London/ England is at the bottom of the Great british map, and its Great britain afterall, we done alot of mixing during our history of war times
2:56 "you don't realise it, untill..." untill a really nice guy tell you on his free lessons boxing channel thanks so much for all your videos. Really helpfull, especially as a beginer for not getting bad habbits.
Tony' s teachings are both educating and engaging. His accent and enthusiasm is what makes it fun for me to learn boxing and watch. Thanks for the tips Tony keep doing what you doing.
I'm 27 and just bought a bag. I have never boxed and I probably never will but I want to make sure while I exercise I'm doing it correctly and dont look like an idiot with bad habits. Thanks coach.
Just came across your channel. Your videos are excellent. I trained when I was younger, now I’m 38 and just looking to get back into training just for my health’s sake. I’m looking forward to training my kids though.
I learned something in one of your past videos, when it came to the lead hook to the body, I always knew when it was coming by the way my opponent slips to the outside then the lead hook to the body , so I figured my opponents would feel the same , so anyway I liked when you showed us a lead hook to the body, without dipping your head to the outside it was all hip rotation. And when I do that In sparring it was sneaky I was just being aware of my head in the air while my lead hand is punching the body. But I still slip to the outside to throw the lead hook sometimes too,0 I mix it up. There's also times where I will purposely telegraph another punch as a faint. But I think the importance of it is awareness as well.but I do 100percent agree with you and this video. I just wanted to share that. Thank you for all you do I appreciate you God bless bro
Yes I've been training at home latly cuz the virus but I do have training partners meet up with me in my garage. Can't wait to get back to the gym though
Thanks for doing all this. Love your videos and content x. I only hit the bag for exercise but if I were 25 years younger.....these would have made a great difference. Hopefully it does for all your other subscribers ❤❤❤
I started with boxing because of you today will be my 20th day in boxing im learning good but i have problems with legs movement ! May you gauid me for things which make my body flexible and legs . Thank you so much 😊
I absolutely love your videos Tony! 💚😁🥊 I ENJOY watching them so much! I've been going boxing for just over a year now and your videos have incredibly useful advice that NO ONE else shows us when we want to learn the amazing arts of BOXING! 🥊💯
Ty for posting this, Ive noticed that my punches has been kinda slow for the past few weeks and I didn't know the reason behind it. Now that I know, I fixed it. Now my punches is fast again.
Telegraphing or as we call here ' LOADING ' actually it slows you little bit however you send more power while doing there and by the way it necessary for beginners to learn how to charge power punsh and bring it clear... ... You can also use loading for faint Or fake punsh to land other cleaner
Another tip advise is if you do shadowboxing right in front of mirror not only you could detect if you're telegraphing your punches but also see if your stance remains proper during punching
Hi Andy thanks for sharing - but I would still recommend recording yourself.. sometimes it's difficult to watch yourself making mistakes in front of the mirror
One tip I have used myself is when I have my hands up and want to throw a jab or cross I don’t let myself bring my hand or shoulder back from my starting position so I always go straight forward
@@Tony_Jeffries Just fitness. I'm 58 and fairly active but have wanted to do boxing for years. Even the introduction class convinced me that the four years I spent punching air in karate 20 years ago was a waste of time. Never too late, ay? Love the videos 👍
Well if you look at Tyson, he was essentially pre-loading what his punches, but they still were not short ones. There ain't right or wrong. If it works - good job!
Monday Twentieth of February Two Thousand And Twenty-Three. 14.55pm. Dear Mr Jeffries. Good-afternoon. How are you? I trust you are well. I (The Bull of Lewisham) always had a habit, of telegraphing my punch. Probably down, to my old Trainer. Thank you for the amazing video. Yours Sincerely. The Bull of Lewisham (fighting name).
Coach, I see you're fairly tall. When you were a prize fighter, was it easier for tall fighters to not telegraph because of God given reach/leverage or does that even matter? Also, I appreciate your channel and how you break things down.
that last tip... reminds me of of that one video i watch about fainting were there are two types and one is similar to the last time, moving, twitching the shoulder, sometimes moving the arms changing level of shoulder to be less predictable when punching and masking the load up of big punch...
